Episodes 5-8 of Love is Blind: Mexico were released on Netflix on Thursday, August 8, 2024. The couples were transported from the romantic retreat in Tulum to everyday life in Mexico City. They practiced living together and prepared to meet each other's family and friends.

Saul and Leti severed ties as they agreed they had different perspectives on life. Irais and Rene who broke up after their engagement, reunited and decided to continue their Love is Blind: Mexico journey as a couple. While others worked on consolidating their connections, Chema prepared to meet Silvia's mother.

Upon meeting in Episode 5, they had a long conversation, and when Silvia's mother discovered Chema was a father, she said:

"It doesn't bother me. Quite the opposite. It's great that he's a father and he already knows what it feels like to bring a child into the world. I think it's a blessing and I love it."

When Chema met Silvia in the pods, he told her he was looking for a partner who would love him as well as his 23-month-old daughter, Antonella. He confessed that his daughter was his priority. He reassured Silvia that she would get along with Antonella and her mother, and together they could form one big happy family.

Love is Blind: Mexico star Chema says his daughter motivated him to be the best version of himself

Earlier in the series, Chema's long-time friend Francesca disclosed to Silvia that Chema transformed himself and pulled his life together after he had his daughter. He wished to be the best version of himself for her. As a result, he hoped that his partner would love his daughter the same way. Silvia vowed to make Antonella happier than she already was.

Silvia's mother eagerly awaited to be introduced to the "new man" Silvia was engaged to. She was thrilled to meet Chema and complimented the duo on looking "beautiful" together.

"you can have her hand, her feet, her head, all of it," said Silvia's mother.

She gladly approved of Chema and Silvia's marriage, making everyone tearful. Silvia felt so overwhelmed by happiness, she claimed she was on "cloud nine."

Silvia's mother complimented her daughter and said that she admired her for the person she had become. Her free-spirited personality and confidence were her key features.

"I feel so proud and satisfied. And her father, who's in heaven, he feels it too. We succeeded as parents and she's grown into such a positive person. Everything can be rose-tinted when you paint your life the color you want it to be," said Silvia's mother.

Chema told Silvia's mother that her words confirmed he made the right choice by falling for Silvia. Before they progressed, the Love is Blind: Mexico cast member disclosed that he had a daughter, to which Silvia's mother replied:

"Aw, what a beautiful blessing! Jose Maria [Chema], congratulations!"

She then asked him how his daughter changed the way he perceived life. The Love is Blind: Mexico star claimed Antonella made him more mature. He then commended Silvia for being supportive and understanding of his situation.

Silvia showed her mother the message Antonella's mother sent her the previous night. She wished her the best and looked forward to meeting her in person. Silvia thought the message was kind and genuine.

"Love unites. It's what we've always said, love doesn't break things apart, love brings everything together," said Silvia.

Silvia's mother hoped the Love is Blind: Mexico couple would stay together and be happy.

"They gotta live together and get to know each other. They might see things differently and I guess we'll see the outcome in the upcoming weeks, won't we?" said Silvia's mother.

Love is Blind: Mexico will return to Netflix with Episodes 9-10 on August 15, 2024.
