Tia P performed second in episode 7 presenting her track West, which reflected her connection to her hometown and its influence on her rapping. Before stepping on stage, she met with producer Nastradomas, who has worked with established rappers such as Fredo Bang and Papoose.

During their interaction, Tia P explained her approach to creating music, stating,

"The music talks to me. I don’t have anything pre-written. I want us to have this music conversation as a unit."

She further clarified that she wanted to balance the style, avoiding extremes in either direction of hard or soft R&B. According to the judges, her performance highlighted her musical journey and the significance of her roots. The presentation showed visuals that complemented her rap style, which DJ Khaled acknowledged.

The judges noted these elements, with Ludacris expressing his appreciation for her growth since the auditions. The audience cheered Tia by singing the hook line of her song along with the judge, Ludacris.
