Anna Delvey, known for being the subject of Netflix's Inventing Anna, returned to the Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) finale on November 26. She performed an opening number alongside fellow eliminated stars, including Eric Roberts, Reginald VelJohnson, Brooks Nader, Jenn Tran, Dwight Howard, and Phaedra Parks.

Despite her viral exit earlier in the season, Delvey expressed enjoyment in being part of the concluding episode. In a November 28 published interview with Page Six, Delvey said,

"Yeah, it was so much fun."

Delvey used the finale to reflect on her time on Dancing with the Stars, address her earlier controversial remarks, and share her plans for the upcoming holiday season.

Delvey’s return to the Dancing with the Stars finale

Anna Sorokin, known as Anna Delvey, participated in the season 33 finale of Dancing with the Stars in Los Angeles. Unlike her competitive appearance earlier in the season, her final performance carried no pressure. Delvey stated,

"I feel great. Yeah, it was so much fun. It was so exciting."

She emphasized that the atmosphere this time was more light, allowing her to enjoy the moment, saying,

“I think this time [it] was so much more lighthearted because there was no pressure and it was not a competition. We were just here to enjoy it and to have fun.”

Earlier in the season, Delvey was eliminated in episode 2 of Dancing with the Stars Season 33, after receiving a combination of judges' scores and viewer votes, alongside Tori Spelling and her pro partner Pasha Pashkov, in a double elimination.

Delvey's infamous one-word reply, "nothing," came after her removal from the competition in response to co-host Julianne Hough's question about what she would gain from the experience.. While this moment sparked significant public attention, Delvey later clarified that her comment wasn’t meant to have any serious implications. She expressed,

“I’m not running for, like, the Secretary of the Treasury, so I don’t understand why people ever got so upset."

She considered the reaction exaggerated, noting that her words did not impact others’ lives. She explained,

“Because in the end, it’s not really consequential for, like, other people’s lives. So it’s ridiculous when you want to get upset about anything that happens on the show.”

Costume details with Dancing with the Stars wardrobe team

Delvey's time on DWTS also involved adapting to her unique circumstances, including her court-ordered ankle monitor. She collaborated with the costume department to create a rhinestone-encrusted sleeve to match her outfit, making the device a part of her performance look. She shared,

“Well, we collaborated with the costume department. Obviously, we could not leave the ankle bracelet naked, so we decided to match it [to my dress]."

She further explained the rhinestones were affixed to the fabric rather than being adhered directly to the device. She remarked,

“And it’s like a little sleeve....So, it was a fun little thing to do!”

Her participation required special approval from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to travel from New York to Los Angeles. Delvey remains under house arrest, with travel restrictions tied to her work in the entertainment industry. Delvey told Page Six,

“My primary residence is still in New York … but for now I am allowed to travel back and forth [for] work in LA...just keep in touch with my supervisors."

Delvey's plans for Thanksgiving

As Dancing with the Stars concluded shortly before Thanksgiving, Delvey discussed her intentions to celebrate the holiday in upstate New York. She mentioned the public relations figure who has emerged as one of her closest allies and strongest advocates.

“I’ll be in upstate New York with Kelly Cutrone and some friends."

Delvey said is looking forward to a simpler and more relaxed Thanksgiving. She emphasized that her holiday plans would be far from the traditional chaos of preparing a big meal, noting:

"We’re going to be eating out. We are not cooking or cleaning. Yay!"
