Too Hot To Handle season 6 aired three new episodes this week on Friday, July 26, 2024. The latest episodes saw a change in cast dynamics as new couples were formed and a few hearts were broken. In episode 5, Charlie expressed interest in Katherine after an emotional workshop. Although the latter was initially confused by his advances, she also found herself drawn to him.

The two decided to talk with their respective partners, Lucy and Louis, respectively, about their decision to pair up with one another. Although Lucy was understanding about Charlie wanting to pursue someone else, she broke down in tears as Bri and Gianna consoled her. The season 6 contestant elaborated on her feelings in a confessional and said:

"I know it took a lot of guys for him to tell me that. And I'm really happy that he told me and didn't do anything behind my back. But it was a really big thing for me to let him in. Maybe he's just, like, going to realize he's made a huge mistake."

Charlie breaks up with Lucy to couple up with Katherine in Too Hot To Handle season 6, episode 6

In Too Hot To Handle season 6, episode 6, Charlie pulled Lucy aside for a private conversation about their relationship. He asked her how she felt everything was going between them, and Lucy asked him to tell her instead.

The male contestant said that when they first met, everything she told him about her ticked every box he had since she was a "great person." He added that he felt great talking to her and that there were "so many matches on paper."

The Too Hot To Handle season 6 cast member Charlie further told her that he felt they were both responsible for the way they did things while on the Netflix show. He recalled sharing a bed and said they had a "great cuddle."

Charlie added that they were part of the Netflix reality show to change and do things the "right way" and said he had never done something like that in the past. He added that he wanted to do it "the right way."

Before Charlie broke the news to her, Lucy told the cameras how she felt about him. She expressed that it felt like Charlie was like "home." Meanwhile, Charlie told her that he had "proper anxiety" and told her that he "really worked" himself up to talk to her about something.

"I feel like, you know, as time's gone on, I haven't felt that, like, energy, to be able to sort of like, super commit myself to someone. You know what I mean? It's difficult because I've enjoyed getting to know you, genuinely, and I think you're like, a nice girl," Charlie said.

He reassured her that it had nothing to do with her. He said he didn't want her to think anything was wrong with her because there wasn't. Charlie added that although he didn't want to say, "It's not you, it's me," as time passed, he felt more "disconnected" from her.

The Too Hot To Handle season 6 cast member added that he wanted to be upfront and honest with her about his feelings and didn't want to get to know someone else behind her back.

"How you feel is how you are, I can't be angry with you for that," Lucy replied.

In a confessional, the Too Hot To Handle season 6 cast member added that Lucy was giving him a "disappointed look," and he felt like he "let her down." Although Charlie felt he should have told her about Katherine, he didn't want to make her "feel worse."

Meanwhile, Katherine also talked to Louis and told him that there was "someone else."
