Single’s Inferno returned with its fourth season on January 14 with a new batch of singles hoping to find love and establish a close bond on Inferno Island. In episode 4 of the Korean reality show, the singles gathered around the campfire and played a drinking game. When Kook Dong-ho was asked whom he would like to go to Paradise, he chose to dodge the question and drank.

Kim A-rin, who had expressed her interest in Dong-ho, felt bad that he didn't choose her, which made her feel rejected. After the drinking game at the campfire, A-rin talked with Dong-ho and expressed her disappointment.

"I thought I expressed my positive feelings for you, but you flat-out rejected me. So honestly it was really disappointing," the Single’s Inferno star told Dong-ho.

In Single’s Inferno, season 4, episode 4, the singles participated in a likeability activity in which they had to secretly vote for the opposite-gender contestant they were interested in.

An hour later, the cast gathered around the campfire to reveal the number of votes each had received. Following the vote reveal, the contestants played a drinking game in which they had to choose whether to answer the questions posed to them or dodge them by having a drink.

Kim A-rin was asked how many votes she cast and whom she voted for. She revealed that she cast only one vote, and it was for Kook Dong-ho.

Dong-Ho was then asked who he would like to go to Paradise with. Instead of giving a name, he chose to drink. A-rin was visibly upset that Dong-Ho didn't take her name, and the co-hosts believed that she might have taken this as a rejection.

After the drinking game, A-rin and Dong-ho sat down for a conversation. Dong-ho brought up their campfire incident and asked A-rin if she had been frustrated when he dodged the Paradise question, especially after she had openly expressed her interest in him.

While Single’s Inferno star was upset, she told Dong-ho that she had assumed that he might have his reasons for not answering the Paradise question.

Dong-ho admitted feeling awkward about saying the name of the person he was interested in front of others. He felt the question was deeply personal and believed it would be too complicated to explain his feelings to everyone at the time.

"Honestly, I felt a little awkward saying it around others. Because it was very personal and felt complicated to explain," he said.

A-rin admitted feeling slightly disappointed because she had openly expressed her interest in him, only to feel "flat-out rejected." Dong-ho acknowledged her feelings. However, the Single’s Inferno star shared that he felt she wasn't interested in him during their first selection. He gave up on her and got interested in You-jin.

"I kept acting ambiguously around you because I felt flustered and I also felt somewhat confused and I also felt somewhat confused that I had feelings for two women. I just wanted to get my thoughts together first," he continued.

A-rin then asked Dong-ho if he was still interested in You-jin and whether he planned to pursue a connection with her. Dong-ho replied no, explaining that he was now more curious about getting to know A-rin better.

"After the campfire, I honestly became less interested in You-jin. I want to get to know A-rin," Dong-ho later shared in his confessional.

Single’s Inferno season 4 episodes 1-4 are available on Netflix.
