In episode 10 of Love Is Blind season 7, Nick and Hannah find themselves at a critical juncture in their relationship as they prepare for their wedding, which is just two weeks away. During a fun rope-climbing date, the couple deeply converses about their readiness for marriage.

When Hannah asks Nick if he is ready to get married in two weeks, Nick confirms that he is, but he also shares his concerns. He emphasizes the importance of family and friends’ support in his decision-making. In contrast, Hannah is more independent, stating that the decision will ultimately be hers alone.

Nick opens up about how Hannah’s probing questions have made him realize what he still needs to work on, acknowledging,

"You've made me realize with some of your hard questions, what I do need to work on to mature and be able to get married, right? Because it's a big commitment."

Navigating different expectations in Love is Blind

As their conversation continues in the tenth episode of Love Is Blind, Hannah reminds Nick that their relationship requires more than affection. It demands active participation and involvement. She points out that before, Nick only had to take care of himself, but now he must also be a supportive partner who listens and contributes equally.

Reflecting on their conversations in pods of Love Is Blind, she recalls their chat about reading, expressing her love for it while Nick admitted he didn’t engage in reading much. Hannah emphasizes that it’s all about priorities, as Nick could have read last night instead of watching the game. The couple revisits their time in Mexico, where Nick struggled to figure out how to switch the lights.

Nick says,

"Sometimes I feel like, you know, you do think I'm maybe sometimes, a level below you. I just want to be treated like an equal."

In response, Hannah acknowledges that she can be hard on him, making him feel like he is less mature or capable than her, though she clarifies that this is not her intention. However, she also shares her frustration, expressing that as a 28-year-old, she expects him to know how to do certain things.

Commitment and shared goals of Nick and Hannah in Love is Blind

The discussion shifts as Nick continues to reflect on his readiness for marriage, reiterating how important it is for him to feel prepared for the “big commitment” they are about to make. He voices his insecurities about how he is perceived in the relationship, especially regarding maturity, and how he is trying to work on being the partner Hannah expects him to be.

In response, Hannah says,

“I'm not here to date anyone. I'm here to actually have a person for the rest of my life, you know.”

She acknowledges that sometimes she says hurtful things out of frustration but clarifies that her goal is for them to grow together as equals. On the other hand, Nick is still working on balancing these expectations while staying true to himself. He shares that he is doing his best, and they both confirm their end goal is to get married.

As the conversation ends, Nick turns the question back to Hannah, asking if she is ready to marry in two weeks. Hannah confidently responds that she is mature and ready for it, solidifying their shared commitment to one another.
