The real estate agent at Douglas Elliman and reality TV star, Abigail Godfrey, recently shared her thoughts on her fellow cast members from Selling The City. The show premiered on Netflix on January 3, 2025. The same day, the cast sat down with ET for an interview where Abigail stated that it was obvious who the "villain" was, seemingly hinting at Jade.

She added that the mostly all-female ensemble was bound to generate drama, but ultimately, the team's priority was their business. Her comments came after the show finale, where castmate Jade threatened to sue everyone involved in episode 8, including the production team.

This happened after Jade was confronted by Abigail for talking badly about Eleonora. Despite that, Jade refused to be labeled as the show's villain. During the ET interview, Jade believed viewers were only seeing one side of her personality.

Abigail, on the other hand, mentioned:

"Ultimately, we really hone into our business and what's important to us on our team. And I think that it's very clear to see when you watch, you know, who that villain is."

Regarding the matter, Jade stated that if people had an issue with her, that was their problem to deal with. In contrast, Eleonora had a different perspective on the Selling The City's villain. She jokingly confessed that the true adversaries were external factors like the economy and interest rates, rather than any individual cast member.

Selling The City stars reveal what sets their show apart

During the conversation, Eleonora said that Selling The City was set apart from other reality real estate shows due to its unique blend of elements. She also expressed that as a woman leading the team in New York City, her presence marked a milestone in the genre.

Eleonora praised the show's visual portrayal of New York City, which she believed was not seen in other real estate shows. The city was showcased with beautifully presented listings.

Steve, another cast member, agreed that the show's ensemble cast was a key factor in its success. With eight individuals, each bringing their own strengths and personalities to the table. From industry veterans like Steve to rising stars like Abigail, the cast's varied backgrounds and career tracks added depth to the series.

"With, like, the way the production team films and how they showcase New York and mixing that with personal with business and how that all unfolds, I think it's a super dynamic television show and one that I can't wait to see more seasons," claimed Steve.

Selling The City stars Taylor and Giselle open up about their journeys

As shown in the Netflix series, Taylor didn't have a clear plan in mind for her journey. However, she trusted her instincts and took things one step at a time. She claimed that by being open to opportunities and following her heart, Taylor was able to create a fulfilling career for herself. She felt grateful for the experiences she had and the progress she made.

"When I moved to New York, I knew I wanted to do something big and make my mark and do something special," stated Taylor.

Giselle, on the other hand, appreciated the opportunity to showcase the reality of working in real estate. She believed that many people had a misconceived notion of the industry, thinking it was all glamour and excitement.

However, Giselle knew that the job required hard work and perseverance, and she was eager to share this side of the business with the world. By doing so, she hoped to provide a more accurate representation of what it was like to work in real estate.

The first season of Selling The City is available to watch on Netflix.
