"It's not enough"—90 Day Fiancé: The Last Resort's Rob expresses frustration as Sophie pushes for more effort

90 Day Fiancé: The Last Resort season 2 episode 6, titled The Last Laugh, premiered on January 6, 2025, on TLC. The episode featured a group therapy session after the rowing activity where Sophie expressed that Rob lacked communication and failed to listen of what she wanted in their relationship.

Rob responded that he did put an effort into their relationship, but Sophie didn’t appreciate it and always felt it was not enough for her.

"I had one job today. And I rowed. What else can I say? I'm doing what I can. And that is so, so like that is our relationship" Of me doing what there is to do and Sophie... it's just not enough. It's not, it isn't what I'm supposed to do somehow, even though I'm doing exactly what I'm supposed to do," he said.

90 Day Fiancé: The Last Resort couple Sophie and Rob share their perspective on the relationship

90 Day Fiancé: The Last Resort season 2 episode 6 featured a rowing activity where the couple had to sit in a boat and compete with each other by throwing the ball in the hoop. The activity was meant to improve communication between the contestants.

After the activity, two therapists gathered all the couples for a group therapy session. Each person had to relate the rowing activity to their real life and share their thoughts on their relationship.

One of the therapists asked the 90 Day Fiancé star Sophie how the rowing activity transferred into her day-to-day life with Rob. Sophie answered that she felt Rob didn’t listen to her needs and often lacked effort in their relationship.

"I don't know, I was just like telling him what he should do. I don't know if he was listening or not. I'm sure he was trying. Um, but I guess that is kind of like our real relationship too. I feel like I'm always telling him what I want him to do. And even though he's probably, he feels like he's trying his best, I don't feel like he is," the 90 Day Fiancé star said.

Rob responded that he did all the things that were required in their relationship. However, Sophie didn't recognize his efforts and often expressed disappointment.

Reacting to the segment, Josh shared in his confessional that he felt Rob and Sophie were on "completely different pages."

"[Sophie] does like this whole like 'Save me thing'. She does have this cute little voice, so it kind of gives her this innocence and so she tries to get away with that. But she has ulterior motives and so I think Rob better watch out," the 90 Day Fiancé star added.

Reflecting on the rowing activity and relating to their relationship, Rob pointed out that Sophie sat in front of him on the boat, holding the ball, seemingly unaware that he was doing all the work by rowing behind her. He added that Sophie believed she was the one putting in all the effort.

Natalie chimed in, calling Sophie "lazy" in her opinion. She then burst into laughter, feeling that her comment was spot on. Natalie's reaction irritated Sophie and the latter confronted her about the same. She asked her fellow 90 Day Fiancé: The Last Resort cast member to stop laughing as she believed that it was "extremely rude."

When the therapist asked Sophie what she believed she could do to improve her relationship with Rob, she had no idea. She added that she didn't know how she could be more clear about her wants with Rob.

"It just feels like he doesn't get it. When I asked him to do something, he does what he thinks he should do instead of what I'm asking him to do... A lot of the time what I am looking for is like reassurance. Like with the rowing thing, I wanted to hear him at the back being like, 'We got it. I'm doing it'. Like I wanted to get back and I didn't," she continued.
