The Love is Blind Mexico reunion episode aired on August 18, 2024, giving updates on each couple's relationship. One of the couples Fernanda and Gerardo broke up before the wedding and had an explosive verbal fight. On Love is Blind Mexico episode 11 reunion, the hosts asked Fernanda and Gerardo to come face to face with each other and say whatever is in their hearts. Fernanda said she got some clarity on their breakup and the situation they were in after getting to watch the show through a third-person point of view.
She confessed to falling in love with Gerardo "blindly" and understanding his true intentions. Fernanda said:
"Well, watching the entire series, I saw how I had so much love to give you. And I saw how I fell in love with you blindly. But at the same time, I saw things that didn't, I didn't understand many things. That when I finished watching the series I understood."
Fernanda continued saying that she felt she was being "deceived" when he would take out his guitar and start singing only when the cameras were around. She doubted his intentions in entering the experiment and accused him of trying to pursue a career in music through a reality TV show debut.
The Love is Blind Mexico star didn't feel Gerardo was sincere in his feelings and wasn't honest about not wanting to get married. Gerardo defended himself, saying that music was his passion but he never intended to join the show to pursue a career as a musician. He said:
"I didn't use the experiment to pursue a career as a musician or what so ever."
Fernanda stated she was hurt when she asked Gerardo if he was in love with her and he said 'no' three days before the wedding. Gerardo explained that was the purpose of the experiment, to find love and see if it can last till the wedding day.
He clarified that he didn't join the show to betray her or take advantage of her. The host wrapped up their conversation by thanking them for expressing their thoughts and feelings freely.
