Love Is Blind season 7 released its six new episodes on October 2, 2024 on Netflix, showcasing some surprising twists and turns. The season featured 29 single individuals who joined the experiment in the hopes of finding love.
Among the few connections that forged before the contestants even revealed their faces to each other, a sort of love triangle formed in the house when Leo expressed his desire to know both Hannah and Brittany. Leo struggled to come to a decision as he mentioned his own insecurities regarding his familial wealth.
Brittany, who proclaimed herself as the “trophy wife,” made it clear that although she was attracted to the "clean-cut" business type, she did not want to marry someone for their money. On the other hand, Hannah pursued a relationship with Nick, who unlike Leo, never doubted his love for Hannah.
Despite Leo's efforts in the pods, Hannah chose Nick over Leo and the latter ultimately decided to propose to Brittany. Meanwhile, Brittany was aware of the whole situation and was irked by Leo's indecisiveness as Hannah even warned her about Leo in the women's lounge.
In an interview with E! News on October 5, 2024, Hannah revealed she had a candid conversation with Brittany after Leo's proposal. She shared the details of what happened between her and Leo with her fellow female contestant. The Love Is Blind contestant said:
"When Brittany decided to go through the proposal with Leo, I told her what I knew and I told her what had happened," stated Hannah.
Hannah further revealed:
"It's her relationship, it's her life. If that's what she wants to do, then that's what she wants to do."
Brittany and Leo continued their journey outside the pods of Love Is Blind but mutually agreed to part ways later
During the run of Love Is Blind, the singles were not allowed to use their phones until they got out of the pods in order to remove all distractions from single's lives and ultimately, form a genuine connection. Brittany and Leo were among the seven couples who successfully proposed to each other.
But the show makers decided to not continue with the couple's journey and the audiences were shown a title card on their TV screen indicating the decision. In an interview with Variety on October 2, creator and executive producer Chris Coelen revealed that they tried to follow the couples who they thought were more "authentic".
In the real world outside the pods of Love Is Blind, the journey of Brittany and Leo did not end as they decided to find out on their own if they were meant to be with each other. In conversation with Tudum by Netflix, Leo recalled that the first few days outside were "electric" as they had long and deep chats about intimate details and spirituality. Sadly, the couple decided to end things as the romantic feelings "fizzled out".
Brittany conceded that in her experience, something like this would have ended up badly but in this case, she considered Leo a "friend" She mentioned:
“But ultimately [he] was just like a friend. We’d go to bed together, and I’m like, ‘Nothing here.’ ”
Leo, on his part, said that even though it was a big risk coming on the show, he was surprised at himself for expressing a lot of emotions in a short duration. He also thought the experience of appearing on this reality show would help him find the love of his life in the future.
