Sister Wives season 19, a TLC reality TV show premiered on September 15, 2024. The show revolves around the concept of a unique family structure of Kody Brown, who has a polygamist family. Sister Wives aired for the first time in 2010 and followed Kody along with his four wives, and 18 children.

Kody Brown is now separated from his three wives, Christen, Janelle, and Meri, who was his first wife. Robyn and Kody are going through a hard time in marriage, as the couple revealed during the premiere of the show. During the premiere of Sister Wives, Kody Brown opened up about his quivering marriage with Robyn and said, 'Robyn and I are kind of in a struggling place.'

Robyn did not hesitate to share her opinion in front of the camera and said that Kody was right about their marriage. She said:

"We’re probably doing the worst we’ve ever done in our marriage. It’s been tough. It’s been tough between us.”

Kody and Robyn Brown from Sister Wives chimed in about their marriage during the show's premiere

Season 19 of Sister Wives premiered on Sunday, September 15, 2024, on TLC at 10 p.m. ET. In episode 1, The House Divide Cannot Stand, Robyn and Kody attend Mykelti's baby sprinkle, where they cross paths with Christine after a long time.

Christine separated from Kody Brown in November 2021, and as the trailer of the show revealed, Christine had found David Woolley, her now husband. Kody accepted that breaking up with Christine has affected his marriage with Robyn as well.

Robyn mentioned during the premiere of Sister Wives that it was becoming difficult for her to stop Kody from obstructing their marriage, especially after being divorced from all the other three wives. She said:

" He doesn’t know who to blame, himself or one of the other wives. Kody’s feeling a lot of rejection. And so, I think he’s kind of looking at me going, ‘Are you going to reject me too?’ I’m on my toes. I’m having to consistently make sure that he is not sabotaging our relationship.”

She also added:

"There’s no resource to help with the idea that I’m still married to a man who’s going through divorces.”

Robyn also shared that she signed up for a polygamist family, and it has been challenging for her to live alone in a monogamous relationship with Kody. She was not prepared for it, and rather planned a life with all the wives, and their children, all of them living together like a family.

Robyn legally married Kody in December 2014. Kody had to divorce Meri to marry Robyn legally and adopt her three children from her previous marriage.

However, irrespective of their struggles in the marriage, Kody admired Robyn's support through the years. He admitted that Robyn played a major part in keeping him sane through all the turmoil he faced in his other marriages. He said in a confessional:

"I love Robyn and she’s dear to me and I respect her dearly. Her telling me I’m still good is valuable to me. I want to give it more credibility, but I’ve had three other people basically blame me. It’s just not that easy.”

Kody also opened up about his changed belief system. He pondered that all the obstacles and failures that he had witnessed in his personal life had made him pray differently. He said:

"And I can’t go to God and say, ‘Hey, help me through this mess.’ I do. But my prayers aren’t the same kind of prayers they used to be when I was like, ‘Gee, thank you for this beautiful family.’”

Sister Wives will air on TLC every Sunday at 10 PM ET.
