"It's uncomfortable" — Selling Sunset star Chelsea gets into an argument with Mary in episode 3

Selling Sunset season 8 premiered on Friday, September 6, 2024. With all 11 episodes released, the Netflix series delivered drama, rivalry, cut-throat competition, and thrills. The agents at The Oppenheim Group raced with one another to secure the most luxurious deals in the market. Consequently, it created an environment of tension at the office.

The cast members' private and professional lives were always intertwined. As a result, they let their personal opinions affect their relationships at work. Chelsea and Mary had multiple disagreements in the first half of the season since their perspectives and ideologies clashed.

In episode 1, Mary labeled Chelsea as the biggest instigator, whereas in episode 2, she questioned Chelsea's professionalism after seeing her dressing style. In episode 3, when she attempted to reconcile with the cast member, their conversation turned into another argument without a positive outcome.

When Mary approached Chelsea in episode 3, the latter said:

"Having this conversation now, it's uncomfortable. You said to Emma I'm a sh*t-stirrer and a pot-stirrer. You also feel like my dress sense is inappropriate. I just wanted to know like if you actually care to have a relationship with me."

The Selling Sunset cast member wondered if Mary respected her and her work. Her anger peaked when Mary's husband, Romain, interrupted their conversation, attempting to defend his wife. Realizing their talk was going nowhere, they parted ways on a bitter note.

Selling Sunset star Chelsea feels Mary has no respect for her

In episode 1 of the reality show, Mary called Chelsea the "biggest pot-stirrer" while answering questions from her fans online. She said that although Chelsea was not a "bad person," she instigated people "more than other people do." When Chelsea heard the news from Emma, she sent a message to Mary that said:

"Keep my f**king name out of your mouth."

Mary also claimed Chelsea focused more on styling herself than her work. As a result, when a client came to the office, Mary stated she would be "the right choice" for him since she did not focus all her energy on her wardrobe. Ultimately, both Chelsea and Mary were chosen for the job.

In Selling Sunset episode 2, where the agents gathered at an open house for brokers, Chelsea arrived wearing a short outfit. It bothered Mary so much that she went and complained to Jason and Brett, urging them to take quick action against her. She called Chelsea unprofessional and blamed her for potentially jeopardizing the company's reputation.

The Selling Sunset cast members continued their feud in the following episode. While Chelsea admitted Mary and she shared a "non-relationship", Mary believed she did the right thing by calling her out. However, in episode 3, Mary tried to talk to Chelsea about the incident.

She wanted to resolve their "issues" and move on.

"Sh*t happens sometimes and if we can move forward and everything's cool, great. If not then let's address it," Mary mentioned.

However, Chelsea felt a reconciliation seemed pointless since Mary "didn't give two sh*ts" about her. She confessed she respected her and apologized for making her feel otherwise. Mary stated her feelings for Chelsea changed only after she sent her the "outrageously inappropriate" text.

While Chelsie tried to explain her actions, Romain kept interrupting her.

"Where's my bodyguard?" Chelsie said.

She said she would never pull her spouse to get involved in a conversation between friends. Claiming herself to be a "real a** b*tch," Chelsea chose to walk away from the conversation. Later, she confided in Emma about Mary and said the cast member was "full of sh*t."
