Steven England, player number 171 of Beast Games, was one of the few who left the show in the first episode. England, who had accepted a $20,000 bribe to leave the competition and return home, realized that his partner, Tiffany Weaver, would continue on the show. Seizing the moment, he decided to propose on stage.

“It just occurred to me that I’m up here on this stage in front of all these people and cameras. And I love this woman and I want to marry her, and I was like, I want to propose right now,” England said, as reported by The Wenatchee World.

He asked Mr.Beast for permission, borrowed a ring from another contestant, and walked down the runway to propose on stage in front of cameras and fellow contestants.

"It was so wild, like I was completely in a daze during the whole thing," England shared.

Steven England’s proposal to Tiffany Weaver and their journey after the Beast Games show

Steven England shared that he had always intended to marry Weaver someday, but being on stage and realizing she would continue in the competition while he was leaving made him see it as an opportunity to express his love in a "big display."

England put on a microphone to walk down the runway with cameras and asked other contestants for a ring to borrow. Weaver accepted the proposal, and the other participants started clapping for the couple. England told Tiffany,

"That’s not my ring, I need it back."

The couple later designed a custom engagement ring together. Although the proposal footage did not air on the show, it will be included in a sponsor package by Money Lion.

Weaver continued in the competition, making it to episode three before being eliminated in a negotiation round. She recalled,

“It was very cute because we were all really nice to each other ... it gets a little spicy ... lots of manipulation.”

Challenges and elimination process of Beast Games

In the first episode of Beast Games, 2,000 contestants faced challenges designed to test teamwork and strategy. England and Weaver chose to remain in the same group throughout the competition. England explained,

“We could have split up and doubled our chances, but we chose to just do it together and stay on the same team throughout.”

The initial challenge required 500-person teams to lift a 10,000-pound boulder. England described the task as focused on organization rather than effort. Later, contestants raced to select safe briefcases from a grid, avoiding eliminations marked by red cases. Despite a knee injury, Weaver advanced through this round.

The final challenge involved grabbing flags in successive heats. England joined earlier heats, while Weaver waited until the last one, securing her spot despite the odds. After passing these challenges, the couple advanced to the next stage, joining 1,000 contestants in Toronto.

England eventually accepted a cash bribe of $20,000 to leave early. Reflecting on his decision, he said,

“I wasn’t going to stay through the whole show. I had to get back to work and kids, so my goal was to get money and get out.”

Beast Games, hosted by YouTube star MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), features 2,000 contestants competing for a $5 million grand prize. The show premiered on December 19, 2024, and airs weekly on Amazon Prime Video. The first episode, which is free to watch on YouTube, begins with mass eliminations at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Episode 7 of Beast Games will air exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on January 23, 2025.
