"Just quit”— Big Brother fans criticize Kenney for wanting to go home

Big Brother season 26 has reached week three, with episode 9 being released on Sunday, August 4. Cedric Hodges became the new Head of Household and repeated last week's nominations. He put Kenney, Angela, and Tucker on the line again, hoping one of the three would go home.

The 52-year-old cop escaped evictions closely in the first week as Matt secured more votes than him, while the second week saw him win the Power of Veto competition, thus saving himself.

When he was put up for eviction again, Kenney told some of the houseguests that he wanted to go home because he missed home. He said he missed his family and wished to see them soon.

Many Big Brother fans took to X to criticize these comments of his. They thought coming to Big Brother meant one had to leave their family for a bit, so Kenney was being unreasonable.

"If he self evicts, it must mean that he forfeits the pay for the weeks theyre in the house… cause why not just quit Kenny," one fan said.

"Feel bad for Kenny. But it's best for him to go home, since everybody else actually wants to play the game," said another.

"Does Kenny realize he can just leave the house if he wants? It’s not like he’s in prison or something," one user wrote.

"Dear Kenny, You’re living the dream of so many #BigBrother fans. WAKE UP. So annoying because your taking the spot from someone who actually respects the game," another user wrote.

Several fans pointed out that staying away from the family is inevitable when one applies for the show. They criticized the fact that Kenney didn't come prepared for this simple inconvenience.

"Kenny you just got in the house man! Your family isn't going anywhere! Just play the game! You have a new family until your game is over! Just breathe!" one tweet read.

"You’re playing a long term game so seriously why do it cuz you knew you would not have contact with your family. 3rd week on the block Kenny you just may see them soon," read another tweet.

"Kenny's annoying. Why come on a show if you just wanna go home," said one fan.

"Kenny buck up dude you know how @CBSBigBrother is played. You knew you were going to be away from your family so," said another.

How was Kenney put up for nomination on Big Brother season 26 episode 9?

Episode 9 of Big Brother, saw the contestants fighting to win the new HOH competition which had them become life-sized game pieces on Ainsley Land. They had to race to win, with stakes on their speed.

T'kor, who went first, secured a score not many could beat, till Cedric set another high. He won the competition because no one came close to his speed. One of the first conversations he had was with Kenney. The latter opened up to him about his profession as a cop which was kept a secret before in fear of the houseguests acting biased towards a national security personnel.

He told Cedric that he was okay to get evicted because he missed his family and would love to see them soon. Cedric heard this and nominated him, alongside Angela and Tucker.
