“Knows about my new relationship”- Love is Blind season 7 star Monica shares she’s “in touch” with Stephen

Love is Blind season 7 was officially wrapped up after the season finale episode aired exclusively on Netflix on October 30, 2024. Throughout the show, viewers saw contestants build an emotional bond in the pods and finding their potential love interest. Then, the couples who got engaged, met face-to-face for the first time and stepped into the real world.

One of the couples who were about to get married on the show was Monica and Stephen. However, when Monica found out that Stephen had been exchanging intimate text messages with another woman, she broke the engagement. Stephen took accountability for his actions and apologized by stating that he should never have signed up for the show. The two then parted ways.

During the Love is Blind season 7 reunion episode, Monica addressed that she didn't think Stephen was a bad guy and wished him well. According to the Tudum article by Netflix dated October 31, 2024, Monica is in a new relationship and is still in touch with Stephen. She said:

“We’re in touch and everything’s good. He knows about my new relationship, but I also have boundaries. He did hurt me. He did betray me. We don’t need to be best friends, but I wish him well and I don’t think he’s a bad guy.”

Love is Blind cast member Monica shares she is in a new relationship

Monica stated that Stephen's insecurities led to him sabotaging their relationship by cheating. She stated that the Love is Blind cast member had to work on himself for not feeling "good enough" and to battle his insecurities.

Despite the two being on good terms, Monica shared she has established firm boundaries and been at a distance from Stephen. She revealed that Stephen knew she is dating someone from her past, and explained that she felt "empathy" for Stephen. The Love is Blind contestant continued:

“I can have empathy for him, but also I am not going to take any of the responsibility or blame. He has a lot of insecurities that he needs to work through, and I mean that in the nicest way possible.”

Monica stated she wished Stephen well and was still in touch with him while also acknowledging that he "betrayed" her. The Love is Blind star gave details of the new guy she's in a relationship with and mentioned how the social experiment helped her learn about dating, and said:

“I, at the ripe and tender age of 36, learned so much from this experience that I was able to take with me into the real world and dating. I came out of those pods being like, ‘Oh, you want to rekindle? Well, I’ve got questions.’ Because I’ve been so clear about my expectations, it’s allowed him to be really vulnerable. We have very open communication and talk about everything.”

Monica shared that she met her current partner through an online dating app before she had decided to sign up for the social experiment. They both went on a few dates but their connection gradually ended. However, once Monica's relationship with Stephen ended, their connection rekindled. The Love is Blind star said that her current relationship is the "best relationship I've ever been in."
