Love Island USA season 6 has made waves on the internet since its inception. One such segment was Casa Amor, when the girls and the guys were sent to two different houses full of 'bombshells'. And even when Casa Amor has ended, the aftermath of it continues to create a frenzy on the internet.
When Kordell went to Casa Amor, sparks flew between him and bombshell Daia. So when he brought her back to the Love Island USA villa, Serena didn't take it well. Kordell also felt sorry for her, and even so said so. After a lot of tugging between Serena and Daia, Kordell chose Serena, and let Daia go.

Kordell and Serena's journey on Love Island USA season 6
Kordell and Serena weren't always tight as a couple because Serena wanted things to flourish naturally between them, and didn't want to force a connection. She made that amply clear to Kordell, who agreed with her sentiment.
However, Serena still felt pressured by him to build a connection she wasn't yet feeling. When she communicated that to him, he took a step back. Serena felt free and felt like opening up to Kordell thereafter because she wasn't under pressure anymore, according to what she told JaNa and Kordell.
Just when Serena was starting to warm up to Kordell, Nicole came in as a 'bombshell' and hit on him and Kendall. Even though she chose to go with Kendall, Kordell was one of the men to queue up with the men who were ready to pair with Nicole and Andrea.
Before Kordell's connection with Serena was strengthened, came Casa Amor, where he paired up with Daia and brought her back to the Love Island USA villa. However, Serena's reaction to it and her demeanor towards him later saw Kordell under a lot of stress.
Men of the house even tried bringing Kordell out of it, but that wasn't helping much either. That might've been because Kordell started to understand that his heart lay with Serena.
Putting an end to his dilemma, he chose Serena instead of Daia, a move fans had speculated before. Fans of Love Island USA season 6 couldn't get over his chemistry with Serena thereafter and took to their social media to express how excited they were for the two of them.
