Love is Blind UK provided a platform for single participants to find love through emotional intimacy by removing the physical attraction aspect of dating. During their time on the show, the single men and women bonded in the pods and were allowed to meet once they made their relationship official and got engaged.

In this social experiment, not only did the contestants find a love match but they also found new friendships with their fellow cast members. One of the two participants who bonded on the show were Demi and Jasmine. Previously Demi was entangled in a short-lived love triangle between Ollie and Catherine. However, soon Ollie and Demi got engaged but their relationship's ups and downs affected their transition into the real world.

At this time, Jasmine was by Demi's side and even confronted Ollie for his behavior. She recently appeared on Will Njobvu's podcast episode 47 where she opened up about her friendship with Demi. Jasmine told the show host that she and Demi were like "sisters" and she considers her a "bestie" and "family." In the August 30, 2024 episode, Jasmine said:

"I considered her as a sister so obviously there were a lot of emotions kind of running. It was kind of like a pressure point in there. So I did kind of become a little bit too overprotective."

Jasmine and Demi's bond on Love is Blind UK

The Love is Blind UK star explained that all the cast members were away from their families and friends so the environment was completely different. According to Jasmine, in that situation, the cast members were each other's families and soon developed a strong connection with one another.

Jasmine said that while they were isolated from the outside world and had no contact with the people they love, Demi became her "family." The Love is Blind UK cast member further said:

"Seeing her in that state, it really did affect me. We don't have our phones, we don't have our families. She was my family in that situation. Throughout the experiment, she was my family."

Reflecting on the Demi-Ollie situation, Jasmine admitted her tone could've been better. Bobby also agreed that she might have come off too "strong" but what she said came from a "place of love." Jasmine shared that if the setting was different and they weren't a part of the social experiment, she wouldn't have been too "involved." She called her behavior a little bit "out of character," explaining that she further mentioned:

"Looking back, I'm like you know what in real life I wouldn't have gotten that involved. But because it's such a different dynamic being in curfew, no family, no friends around to advise you what to do, you just act, you know, out of character. But the conversation had to be had, However, my delivery could have been a bit different."

Jasmine also disclosed that Demi "wanted to leave" which wasn't shown on the camera. At that time, the Love is Blind UK star showed up for Demi and took a stand for her friend even though the entire situation wasn't translated on camera.
