House of Villains recently wrapped its second season on E! Network, with Safaree Samuels winning the December 2023 finale. The show features reality TV personalities competing for $200,000 and the title of “Ultimate Supervillain”. With seasons now aired, the dramatic conclusion of season one laid the foundation for the show's format. The December 2023 finale saw Bad Girls Club alum, Tanisha Thomas, win through a tiebreaker vote after 20 days of competition.

The final episode of House of Villains season 1 featured five contestants in the "Last Supper" eating challenge, followed by multiple eliminations that led to a three-way final. Thomas and Johnny Bananas tied in jury votes with three each, leaving eliminated finalist Anfisa Arkhipchenko to cast the deciding vote.

Thomas's victory came after competing against contestants from The Challenge, Survivor, Love is Blind, and 90 Day Fiancé. The finale brought back eliminated contestants as jury members, except for Bobby Lytes who was absent from voting.

Tanisha Thomas claimed House of Villains season 1 victory through tiebreaker

The House of Villains season 1 finale started with five contestants vying for the top spot. Johnny Bananas, representing seven wins on The Challenge, stood as a frontrunner. Tanisha Thomas brought her Bad Girls Club experience to the competition.

Shake Chatterjee from Love is Blind made his mark through strategic gameplay. Jonny Fairplay, famous for his Survivor appearances, aimed to add another reality show victory to his record. Anfisa Arkhipchenko from 90 Day Fiancé rounded out the final five competitors.

Below Deck's Chef Ben Robinson arranged the "Last Supper" challenge, which tested contestants' eating abilities and strategic thinking. The challenge required participants to consume items totaling exactly $200. The menu included basic items like hard-boiled eggs for $10 and escalated to extreme options such as bull organs for $40 and brain dishes for $50.

Bananas demonstrated his competitive experience by finishing first, securing immunity and a guaranteed spot in the finals. His victory allowed him to select one contestant to join him, choosing his closest ally Thomas. This decision sent Chatterjee, Fairplay, and Arkhipchenko to compete in the final elimination challenge.

Jury's return

House of Villains season 1’s eliminated contestants came back to determine the winner through a jury vote system. Notable returnees included reality TV veterans from various shows who had faced elimination throughout the season.

The jury format brought additional tension to the finale, as personal relationships and gameplay history influenced the voting decisions. Each finalist received time to present their case for victor.

The final vote demonstrated the split loyalties among jury members. Shake supported Bananas based on their strategic alliance throughout the season. Corinne followed with another vote for Bananas, citing his game-winning experience. In an unexpected move, Omarosa cast her vote for Thomas despite their previous conflicts in the house.

Fairplay backed Bananas with strong words about competitive gameplay. Jax Taylor added another vote for Thomas, creating mounting tension. New York delivered her vote for Thomas with a memorable speech about potassium and bone density, leading to a three-way tie.

The deadlock placed Arkhipchenko, who received zero jury votes, in the tiebreaker position. After acknowledging her experiences with both finalists, she announced her decision to support Thomas. This choice marked a shift from her apparent alliance with Bananas during the final weeks of competition. The moment concluded with Thomas becoming the first winner of House of Villains.

Post-finale developments

In an interview with TVInsider, Thomas immediately outlined plans for her $200,000 prize money,

“I’m going to pay off some debt. I’m going to go away. Once I get home, I plan on honing down on my true passion. I said this would be my exit from reality television because of the drama. I experienced it on the show. I was like, “I’m too old for this. I’m done.” The truth is I got to work. I don’t eat air. My son doesn’t eat air. I’ll go wherever the money resides.”

The House of Villains season 1 created lasting connections between Thomas and Bananas. Their friendship continued beyond the show, leading to collaborative projects including support for Bananas' boxing gym opening in Boca Raton.

Host Joel McHale discussed the possibility of bringing back the same cast for season two, highlighting the strong chemistry among contestants. Thomas transitioned her win into new opportunities, expressing interest in hosting and producing while maintaining her reality TV presence.
