The finale, i.e., episode 7 of Love Never Lies: South Africa, was released on December 6. Titled Time to Come Clean, it featured the couples answering one final question each about the conflicts in their relationship. Their responses were evaluated by a lie detector, and if they answered truthfully, each couple would add 30,000 rand to the final prize pot.

Gontse and Munaka both answered their respective questions correctly, adding 30,000 rand each to the prize pot. After all the couples were done answering questions about their relationship, host Minnie called them to the stage to reveal the results.

According to the show's rules, the final prize pot would go to the couple who lied the least throughout the season. Minnie announced that Gontse and Munaka, along with Wilfred and Clayton, were the two couples who lied the least, declaring the former as the winners. Their victory was attributed not only to the strength of their bond but also to their honesty and courage in admitting difficult truths.

Fans of Love Never Lies: South Africa took to X to react to their win. Some felt it was apt, while others suggested their relationship looked fabricated. One fan on X tweeted:
