What happened on ⁠Love After Lockup season 5 episode 38?

On ⁠Love After Lockup season 5 episode 38, Zeruiah talked about Troy's ex "encouraging him" to "move forward." This was after Zeruiah and Troy had a rough patch in their relationship and were trying to make it work. During this time, Zeruiah started talking to someone else and got intimate while Troy was in prison.

However, she confessed to Troy about it and he decided to give her another chance as they had been married for three years. As per Zeruiah, Troy's ex, Karen had intervened and told him to do the same. She emphasized moving on and brought up Zeruiah's infidelity. In her confessional interview, Zeruiah told the cameras:

"I developed feelings for this guy that I was talking to and I confessed to Troy that I was s*xually intimate with somebody but Troy has made it absolutely clear that we have a clean slate. He said it multiple times. So why is this being brought up?"

Meanwhile True told Shonta that he wanted to go with her to her ultrasound appointment in an attempt to "redeem himself." Shonta said they had to be in a "better space" to get back to how they were before and share her "special moments" with him.

Another couple viewers saw in this episode was Joey and Kim. Kim talked to Joey about their monthly budget and how they cannot afford to spend savings.

Joey reassured her that everything was fine and they had to "figure out a way" to make more money instead of not spending too much. Kim expressed her concern about Joey's spending in front of the cameras.

"I definitely get nervous about what Joey's doing when I'm at work and I don't really know where he's at who he might run into, what he might get into because he doesn't make the best decisions when I'm not around," she said.

Towards the end of the episode, Arthur reconnected with his family's religion. Hope supported him in discovering his religion again but has doubts about following a similar path as Arthur. She admitted that during Arthur's mental struggle, having a good support system might help him.
