Episode 5 of Love is Blind: Argentina was released on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. The episode, titled Trouble in Paradise, took off from where the previous episode left off. Like its original US iteration, the show saw couples meet and fall in love without having seen each other. After the couples expressed their love for each other, they got engaged before going on a honeymoon to Tulum, Mexico.
While in the pods, the couples learned more about each other, and discussed their emotional compatibility before seeing each other. One of the couples this season, Mauricio and Maria, discussed their relationship during their time in the pods.
As Mauricio opened up about having doubts about their future and connection, he evaluated his and Maria's lifestyles, personalities, and habits. He realized that while they were different in a number of ways, they still had a mutual understanding.
However, the Love is Blind: Argentina star admitted that he didn't "truly know" Maria as the two were still in the process of getting to know one another. Meanwhile, Maria said that Mauricio seemed "a little worried about what's to come."
At the same time, tensions between Eva and Emily heightened after Emily jokingly asked her co-star if she even liked Santiago.
According to the episode synopsis, the connections between each couple grew as they evaluated the basis of their relationship.
"As the sun sets on their getaway, most connections grow stronger — but one pair drifts apart. Later, they head back home, where a big surprise awaits," the synopsis read.
What happened on Love is Blind: Argentina episode 5?
In episode 5 of Love is Blind: Argentina, Emily, Eva, and Santiago were having a conversation together. Santiago brought up his and Eva's connection in the pods, stating they had a "lot in common." Eva agreed to his statement, and then Emily interrupted them by asking Eva if she liked "her husband."
Things got a "little tense" between the two, but Emily clarified that she only meant that as a joke. Santiago told the cameras that Emily was "feisty" and that Eva took that comment personally, which is led to the situation getting awkward.

During her confessional interview, the Love is Blind: Argentina cast member clarified once again that she was "just kidding." She told the producers that she was "genuinely kidding."
"I was genuinely just kidding besides Santiago knew that I was just messing with her. I know she doesn't like him," she said.
According to Eva, Emily thought she might start an argument, but Eva didn't want to start a conflict with someone "over a man." Explaining her point of view, Eva told the cameras that she'd "never do that."
"I'm not the one in the middle, she may have thought that I was going to start arguing with her or something but I'd never start a fight over someone, certainly not over a man. I mean. I'd never do that," Eva said.
