Love Is Blind is a reality TV series that has become very popular because of its unique format and received success globally. Chris Coelen created the show, which was released on Netflix for the first time in 2020. The series has six seasons so far and various international versions that are equally loved by the audience.

The show brings together single men and women searching for a true connection and puts them through a dating experiment, which involves different phases. The couple starts dating via pods, where they do not see each other face-to-face, get engaged, and then get the chance to meet in person. They further explore the relationship to take the final walk to the altar.

In six seasons, the show has seen 11 couples go through the journey of marriage. However, two of the couples separated shortly after. Danielle Ruhl-Nick Thompson and Jarrette Jones-Iyanna McNeely, both from season 2 of Love Is Blind, got divorced.

Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson

Danielle and Nick, the Love Is Blind couple, appeared in season 2, which aired in 2022. Danielle, who was 29 years old at that point, and Nick, who was 36, bonded from episode one of the show over their families and past relationships and also shared their vulnerabilities regarding body image.

The couple spent their honeymoon vacation at a Mexican retreat, met the families, and ultimately got married in the finale of Love Is Blind season 2. As per People's August 21, 2022 report, the couple announced their divorce in 2022 after revealing that they had sought couples counseling in March 2022. The couple opened up about their divorce on social media.

Nick posted on Instagram on September 22, 2022, about the divorce and expressed that it was challenging to go through the experience, but he felt positive about the coming future. In May 2023, Danielle appeared on an episode of the podcast 'Diary of an Empath,' hosted by Keresse Thompson, where she discussed her time on the show.

The couple reconnected in June 2023 for Nick's podcast 'Eyes Wide Open,' in which they discussed their journey before, during, and after the show Love Is Blind, season 2.

Jarrette Jones-Iyanna McNeely

Jarrette and Iyanna got married during season 2 of Love Is Blind. The couple lasted for one year and then decided to divorce, as reported by People. According to E! News, "irreconcilable differences" were cited as the reason for their separation.

They also witnessed roadblocks during the show's filming. Before getting married, as seen during season 2, the couple pointed out the difference in their lifestyle as a bone of contention. However, the couple sorted their way out to the aisle and got married. Iyanna expressed to Jarrette on the wedding day:

"I feel so understood by you, I feel so loved by you, and that never happens. I just feel like I'm supposed to be with you. You were made for me and I was made for you."

Soon after their first anniversary, the couple announced their separation. The couple also took to Instagram to share the announcement about their divorce on August 17, 2022. The now-unavailable statement read:

"What's going on, family. After much thought, we're saddened to share that we have separated and will begin the process of divorcing. While we have love for each other, our lives and going in different directions, and that's okay. Coming to this decision was far from easy and we will always wish each other the absolute best."

Seasons 1-6 of Love Is Blind are available on Netflix to stream.
