What happened in Love is Blind: Germany episode 4?
Episode 4 saw the aftermath of Sally and Medina's engagement with the former leaving the social experiment after accepting Medina's proposal. While speaking to the cameras, she expressed the encounter felt "awkward," calling Medina a "stranger." However, Medina hoped Sally had talked to him before leaving the show.
The last couple to get engaged was Tolga and Shila. While Shila was happy with their first encounter, admitting Tolga was her "type," the latter felt uncertain.
"It feels really weird to see Shila because she's actually a stranger I've never seen before," he said.
After the engagements concluded, the five couples — Tolga and Shila, Alina and Ilias, Hanni and Daniel, Shella and Pascal, and Jen and Marcel — headed to Crete, Greece, for their honeymoon. Each pair hoped to turn their emotional connections into physical bonds, taking their relationships to the next stage.
While Hanni and Daniel looked forward to getting to know each other better, Tolga confessed that he expected his partner to be someone he could argue with.
"Toxic Tolga and Toxic Shila. We're a toxic couple," he said.
In the meantime, Pascal expressed difficulty in understanding his feelings for Shella. While he enjoyed her company, he struggled to see her as his fiancée. However, he hoped his feelings would change after they got to know one another more during the retreat.
Elsewhere, things got awkward between Tolga and Shila when the latter said she would cook for him if he behaved. When Tolga asked if he had a choice, Shila nodded in disagreement. Upon hearing that, the Love is Blind: Germany cast member said marriage felt like "prison," caught off guard by Shila's behavior.
While Alina and Ilias discussed intimacy, Jen opened up to Marcel about her habit of shutting down when faced with a crisis in a relationship. In the meantime, Hanni and Daniel grew closer as they spent time by the pool getting to know one another. Hanni was shocked at how open and comfortable she would get around Daniel.
Although it contrasted with her usual nature, the Love is Blind: Germany cast member was not upset about it.
"I'm usually reserved. I always have a wall around me and keep people at a distance. And I don't usually let someone touch or kiss me this early on. Um, but, yeah, it just feels right," she said.
The morning after the first night together, Ilias revealed he cuddled with Alina throughout the night. Although he enjoyed the closeness, he looked forward to getting physically intimate with her. Meanwhile, Alina confessed that she was falling in love with Ilias.
Elsewhere, Marcel started reconsidering his connection with Jen. After Jen revealed she was "lively" and "wild" in gatherings, Marcel realized her personality differed from his.
"I'm starting to realize that we are very different in many ways. But it's only the second day, and there's still a long way to go," he added.
During a private moment with Daniel, Hanni opened up about her insecurities, stating that she wanted her partner to appreciate her "inner qualities" instead of only focusing on her appearance. The Love is Blind: Germany star admitted that she found comfort in Daniel because he proposed to her without knowing what she looked like.
Meanwhile, Tolga apologized to Shila for being confused between her and Hannah. Although he looked forward to living together with Shila, he remained conflicted about their connection. He refused to introduce her to his family while feeling uncertain.
Later in the episode, all the newly formed Love is Blind: Germany couples got together and saw each other for the first time. While talking to the men, Tolga confessed he did not feel comfortable with Shila. However, Shila gushed over their connection and told the women they were a "match."
"So suffocating, it constantly feels like I've got a hand around my throat. I can't breathe," Tolga said.
Tolga's worries reached a boiling point, when Hanni described Hannah, his other connection, calling her a fun person who knew how to live life.
Soon after, Hanni pulled Ilias, her connection from the pods, aside for a private conversation. They chatted for a while, upsetting their respective partners. While speaking to the Love is Blind: Germany cameras, Ilias confessed he would be lying if he said he did not feel anything for Hanni.
