Love is Blind Habibi, aired all the episodes on October 10, 2024. Episode 4, 'Catching Up with Cupid,' revealed a significant clash between two participants, Simo and Chafic, during the couples' vacation.

The argument centered around Chafic’s previous acquaintance with another cast member, Nour, and Simo’s decision to share private details of this connection with Chafic’s fiancée, Dounia. Tensions escalated, leading to verbal altercations and harsh words exchanged between the two men.

Chafic’s confession and Simo’s intervention in Love is Blind Habibi

In Love is Blind Habibi episode 4, Chafic confided in Simo that he had recognized Nour from years ago when they had exchanged messages on Instagram.

During a beachside conversation, Chafic shared how Nour had complimented his Arabic, telling him it was “cute,” and he expressed feeling uncomfortable about it, especially since his fiancée, Dounia, was nearby at the time.

“Dounia was next to me, and I say, ‘help me, God,’ my heart was doing this,” Chafic told Simo.

Simo, concerned that this might cause trouble if Dounia overheard the conversation, asked, “Did Dounia hear that?” to which Chafic replied he wasn’t sure. Simo remarked:

“If Dounia heard you, it would be a problem.”

Later in the episode, Simo spoke to Dounia directly, mentioning that some participants may have known each other before entering the Love is Blind Habibi experiment. This remark led Dounia to confront Chafic, which ultimately triggered the conflict between him and Simo.

The confrontation between Simo and Chafic

The tension between Chafic and Simo escalated when Dounia revealed to Chafic what Simo had told her. Feeling betrayed by his friend, Chafic confronted Simo in front of other cast members, asking why he had shared the information with his fiancée.

In a confessional to the cameras, Chafic expressed frustration, stating:

“I made the mistake of telling Simo. I told him at 4:00, and by 4:15, he had told Dounia, so he’s talking about me.”

When Chafic openly challenged Simo, asking, “Why did you tell her? Why?” Simo brushed off the accusation, responding, “Why are you angry? You’re crazy.”

The argument quickly turned heated, with both men exchanging insults and nearly resorting to physical confrontation. Simo continued to defend his actions, telling Chafic:

“We were talking about the experience. It wasn’t against you.”

Simo, who viewed the situation as a misunderstanding, added in his confessional that Chafic was “young and immature.” He questioned why Chafic had taken the statement personally, claiming it was merely an observation about the overall dynamics of the Love is Blind Habibi experience.

Simo and Dounia’s Conversation

Before the confrontation, Dounia had a candid conversation with Simo, where they discussed the experiment and whether anyone had any regrets. Simo admitted he had concerns about the authenticity of some participants, hinting that certain individuals may have known each other prior to joining Love is Blind Habibi. He told Dounia:

“Some of the guys were talking with the girls before seeing them. I didn’t like it.”

When Dounia pressed him further, he mentioned, “The world is small, so everyone knows everything.” Dounia later confessed to the cameras:

“I don’t like what I’m feeling right now. I don’t like to feel like this,”

This conversation prompted her to share her concerns with Chafic.

The aftermath of the argument

As the argument between Simo and Chafic intensified, other cast members began to intervene, attempting to de-escalate the situation.

Dounia pulled Chafic aside to calm him down, while Simo continued to explain to others that his comments were not meant to be taken personally by Chafic. However, Chafic remained upset, feeling that Simo’s actions had crossed a line by bringing the issue to his fiancée.
