Love is Blind Habibi episode 6 recap: Reality sets in as couples meet each other’s families to get their blessings

Love is Blind Habibi episode 6 premiered on Netflix on October 10. In the first phase of this reality show, some of the Arabian singles found their potential suitors and got engaged. Four weeks before their scheduled marriages, the engaged couples went on vacation.

The couples spent enough time in their holiday resort and had a beautiful vacation to get to know each other better. The vacation ended, and it was time for couples to return to reality. They had to return to their "lives, homes, families, friends and jobs."

In episode 6, the couple met their respective partner's friends and family and learned more about their relationship. While some couples were getting close to each other and thinking about their marriage, Ammar and Karma decided to break up.

Titled Realityville, the synopsis of the episode reads:

"With their phones back in their hands, the couples return to real life, turning to friends and family to give their blessings — but will they get it?"

Back to Reality

Love is Blind Habibi episode 6 began with the co-hosts Elham Ali and her husband, Khaled Saqer, informing the couples that it was time for them to get back to their lives outside the show. The cast members received their phones back after talking about what they learned about their partners.

After landing in Dubai, Khatab met his mom, who was worried about him getting married so soon. She wanted to meet Asma's parents so their families could fit in with each other. Safa then joined her friends and told them she chose Mohammed because he made her laugh and feel safe.

Ammar and Karma decided to break up their relationship as they were able to come to a common ground on Karma's dancing career. Karma shared that her dancing, art, and how she lived her life were more important to her.

"Let me tell you why it's right. Every person in the world has their own identity. It's what makes them who they are. They sometimes have to sacrifice a relationship for something important... [Dancing] It's not trivial to me. It's a huge part of my life," Karma told Ammar.

Friends and family meet

After returning home, each contestant had to meet their respective partner's friends and families and seek their blessing for their relationship. Chafic went over to Dounia to introduce himself to her mom. While talking about her daughter and what she wants from her future husband, Dounia's mom said:

"I have two daughters. And Dounia is the oxygen that keeps me alive. If my daughter has a partner... it's essential that he have certain traits. First, respect. Second, he has to be a real man. Third, family... I want for your parents, hopefully, to like her. Not just happy, ecstatic."

Chafic was quite nervous before the meeting; however, he felt better and more confident about his relationship with Dounia.

Dounia then flew to Lebanon to meet Chafic's parents. Chafic's parents loved meeting Dounia, and they shared their thoughts on the relationship. Chafic mom told Dounia she was exactly the woman she wanted for her son.

Before meeting Asma's parents, Khatab had a conversation with her friends. He asked them if Asma had any red flags, and they responded that he needed to "keep her grounded."

At the end of Love is Blind Habibi episode 6, Mohammed and Safa argue over meeting each other's parents before the wedding. Safa said that they would need to postpone their wedding ceremony if she didn't get to meet Mohammed's family early on.
