Love is Blind Habibi premiered on Netflix on October 10, bringing the dating experiment to Arabian countries to help singles find love beyond appearances. 20 singles entered the pods, forming deep connections, with some exchanging meaningful gifts. Six couples ultimately got engaged and went on a week-long vacation to deepen their bonds and envision their future together.
As time passed, some couples grew closer, while others faced challenges: Ammar and Karma, Mido and Noor, and Simo and Hajar ultimately parted ways.
Chafic & Daunia and Khatab & Asma went through with the wedding but failed to tie the knot as they needed more time in the relationship. However, for Mohammad and Safa, everything fell into place, and they married with the heartfelt blessings of their families.
All six couples who got engaged outside the pods are set to appear in the reunion episode, where they’ll discuss their experiences on the show and share updates on their lives since filming ended.
Love is Blind Habibi: What happened to all the engaged couples?
Safa and Mohammad (Got married)
Mohammad and Safa were one of the strongest couples on Love is Blind Habibi. However, just one challenge stood in their way before the wedding: Safa's demanding job. Her work required her to travel weekly from Dubai to Basra for the project she was working on.
Mohammad was disheartened when Safa told him she’d need to fly out for work the day after their wedding. Determined to make it work, they agreed to find a solution together.
In a heartfelt gesture, Mohammad and his father visited Safa’s family to formally ask for her hand, leading to a beautiful wedding that capped off their journey on Love is Blind Habibi.
Daunia and Chafic (Called off the wedding)
Chafic and Daunia shared a heartfelt bond despite often clashing throughout their time on the reality show.
Daunia, who was especially close to her mother, saw her as both a maternal and paternal figure. However, Chafic felt Daunia shouldn’t involve her mom in every part of their relationship, creating tension.
They introduced each other to their families and stood together on their wedding day but ultimately decided they needed more time and called off the wedding.
Asma and Khatab (Called off the wedding)
Asma initially rejected Khatab's engagement proposal when they met face-to-face for the first time. After getting some time to reflect on the event, Asma decided to give the experiment another chance and got back with Khatab.
Asma’s parents were not supportive of the relationship she had formed on the reality show. Despite their disapproval, the regional marketing manager held onto hope that they would attend her wedding.
When they didn’t show up, she made the difficult decision to call off the ceremony, choosing to wait until she could marry with her parents’ blessing.
Karma and Ammar (Not Together)
Ammar was cemented on his traditional beliefs and disapproved of Karma's dancing career. The Love is Blind Habibi couple tried to look past the conflict and got engaged outside the pods.
The conflict, however, resurfaced, casting a shadow over their relationship. In the end, Karma chose to prioritize her dancing career and embrace the freedom to live life on her own terms. With a mutual understanding, the Love is Blind Habibi couple parted ways, shaking hands before going their separate paths.
Nour and Mido (Not Together)
Mido and Noor had clashing personalities, which led to their inevitable breakup. Mido felt that Noor gave him no attention and was more interested in Chafic. With this issue in mind, the real estate consultant left the show without having a final conversation with his Love is Blind fiancée.
Hajar and Simo (Not Together)
Simo and Hajar were another couple who broke up because of their clashing personalities.
On the first day of their vacation, Simo got into a heated argument with Chafic, who accused him of betraying his trust and implying to Daunia that he had known Nour prior to the show.
Simo left the show and his Love is Blind Habibi fiancée, reasoning that Hajar, being his partner, should have stood by his side during the argument. On the other hand, Hajar felt that the argument did not concern her and saw no point in getting involved.
Love is Blind Habibi reunion will be released on November 1 on Netflix.
