Love Is Blind Mexico premiered its first four episodes on August 1, 2024, on Netflix, adding another country to the franchise. By the end of episode 4, fans saw Willy-Francesca, Leti-Saul, Fernando-Karen, Gerardo-Fernanda, and Chema-Silvia as the final couples. The show will continue to follow their journey in the coming episodes.
For the unversed, contestants find suitable romantic partners through various tasks and activities in this beloved reality show. Similar to other Love Is Blind formats, participants first need to go on blind dates and form emotional connections. They get to know each other by communicating via a speaker inside soundproofed “pods.” After this, they decide their fate by the end of this experiment.
The Mexican edition is not the first to take place outside America. The franchise has been adapted in other international versions such as Germany, Brazil, Japan, and Sweden. The UK edition is slated to premiere on August 8, 2024, and Love Is Blind Habibi is also in the pipeline.

Love Is Blind Mexico: Three major highlights from episodes 1-4
1) Drama between Fernando, Rocio, and Irais
In the very first episode of Love Is Blind Mexico, Fernando connected with two participants, Rocio and Irais. He went on constant dates with them and talked over topics like love, family, and marriage with both of them.
Initially, Fernando told Irais that he felt good around her and could see a possible future with her, to which Irais agreed. But Fernando also mentioned that he would want to take some time and get to know her better.
After the conversation, Irais went to the common place where the ladies gathered. She told everyone that she wanted to continue her relationship with Fernando and was determined to marry him. Although Rocio congratulated Irais, she later confronted Fernando to find more clarity. Fernando stated that he hadn't proposed to her yet and was seemingly confused about the whole situation.
"That's not really fair. Because on all my dates, I've told the girls I'm very honest. And I don't like the feeling like they're sabotaging me or twisting what I said into something else," Fernando added.
Later, Fernando and Irais met for a date behind the walls. He asked her about the situation and why she lied to others. Irais claimed that Rocio was lying to him and that she never said such a thing. Fernando decided to believe Irais and confessed to Rocio that he didn't want to go on dates with her.
"I've made the decision to not have any more dates with Rocio," Fernando said in a confessional.
Irais even sat down with Rocio to clear the air and explained that she never said that Fernando proposed to her and she was just keen on marrying him. Rocio took the situation upon her chin and admitted to having misunderstood the situation.
Amidst all the drama, the connection between Fernando and Irais got ruined. He eventually started connecting with Karen, with whom he ended up at the conclusion of Love Is Blind Mexico episode 4.
2) Silvia's doubts over Chema
Chema was another contestant in Love Is Blind Mexico who was confused between two participants, as he connected with Silvia and Alejandra both. While talking with Silvia, he confessed his desire to travel the world and even told her about his plans to stay a bachelor a few years prior. When Chema told Silvia about his daughter, she was surprised by this revelation.
Silvia then asked Chema why he was here on the show if he wasn't looking for a mother to his daughter. Chema agreed and added that he had changed his plans when he decided to come here. Silvia shared in a confessional that the information about Chema having a daughter created doubts in her mind about wanting to pursue him.
"He told me he has a daughter and now I have my doubts because it's not just him. They're a whole package," Silvia stated.
Silvia overcame all the doubts she had regarding Chema and accepted his proposal by the end of episode 4 of Love Is Blind Mexico.
3) Saul proposed to Leti over a game of chess
Saul started Love Is Blind Mexico with many female participants trying to catch his attention. He narrowed it down to Leti and Karen. While Leti opened up to Saul about her ADHD diagnosis which had previously created problems in her romantic life, Karen disclosed her preferences during physical intimacy. After many twists and turns, he decided to partner with Leti.
Saul proposed to Leti by arranging a game of chess in both rooms. As the game progressed, he explained each move as a symbol of the steps that the couple had taken to understand each other. The pair eventually said yes to each other.
