What happened in Love is Blind: Mexico episode 10?
One of the episode's key moments was when Rene decided against marrying Irais. He confessed that although he loved her, he was "really not ready" to take the next step to upgrade their relationship to marriage. He added that he had to tell her "face to face" but knew the altar was not the appropriate place.
Irais walked away and admitted, "Not everything can be perfect." After the guests left, the Love is Blind: Mexico couple discussed what they would do next. Rene confessed although it was not the right time, Irais was the "right one" for him. He added he wanted his father to be there.
A disappointed Irais said:
"You did what was best for you."
Irais confided in Rene that she wanted to get married and would have said yes if the priest asked her first. After Rene reassured her of his feelings, the couple decided not to separate, hoping they could make it work.
In the meantime, Willy pleasantly surprised Francesca by taking her on a date in a theatre. They bonded as they discussed their future together and the kind of family they wanted. Francesca was glad to see Willy opening up about his feelings.
On their wedding day, Willy interacted with his siblings who thought he would have a "very happy marriage." The Love is Blind: Mexico star felt he had clarity. He then met his mother who was glad to see him relaxed and composed.
As they stood at the altar, the priest asked Francesca if she accepted Willy as her husband. With tears in her eyes, she said:
"Today I have decided to not marry you because my wings are telling me to fly much higher. And I hope that yours will one day unfurl and take off and make you see that a strong woman next to a man doesn't take away, it multiplies."
Willy agreed that their differences were too apparent. On the other hand, Silvia looked forward to getting married. Her mother gifted her a necklace and gave her blessings. Meanwhile, Chema's friends asked him to think his decision through. He confessed to his family members that he was not "100% sure" about marriage.
They agreed it was too soon to get married, urging the Love is Blind: Mexico star to contemplate his emotions before making rash decisions.
On their wedding day, as they stood at the altar, Silvia confessed that together with him, she discovered that love was "truly blind." In response, Chema said:
"I love that we found each other in this crazy experiment, that our dads up there are blessing and lighting the way for us."
When asked if they accepted each other as husband and wife, the Love is Blind: Mexico couple ran away from the altar as they decided to continue dating each other.
"We'll never follow rules. Never," said Silvia.
The last couple was Fernando and Karen. They felt nervous as the wedding day inched closer. Although they had their doubts, they also had faith in each other.
Fernando felt "super intense" seeing Karen walking down the aisle. When asked if she accepted Fernando as her husband, the Love is Blind: Mexico cast member said:
"It still feels weird that I blindly fell in love, and here now, with my dad's spirit, my mom, Emi, and my family and friends, I can't wait to become your wife."
Fernando accepted Karen as his wife and the couple got married. He then gifted Karen's daughter, Emily, a bracelet, vowing to protect her for life.
"We're proof that love is blind," said Fernando.
Love is Blind: Mexico is available to stream on Netflix.
