The first season of Love is Blind: Mexico premiered on Netflix on Thursday, August 1, 2024. The regional spin-off of the popular social experiment dropped the first four episodes and showed the cast members go on a journey to find love. By episode four, five couples had made it to the honeymoon phase and were taken to Tulum, Mexico.

The five couples formed in the first four episodes were Leti and Saul, Francesca and Willy, Gerardo and Fernanda, Karen and Fernando, and Silvia and Chema. The couples were happy to be together but they were just as curious to know who else would join the retreat. Although they were confident about their relationships, they did worry that having former connections around might cause an issue.

The synopsis of the episode reads:

"Once in paradise, romance keeps blossoming — but not for all. Conversations on blended families, non-negotiables, and other hot topics come up."

In Love is Blind: Mexico season 1 episode 4, the five couples who made it out of the pods made their way to Paradise, aka a resort in Tulum. There, they spent their first nights together as couples. All of them had a good time, but some, like Karen and Willy, did wonder what would happen if their former pod connections made it to the vacation.

When the cast members gathered for a meet-up, they realized that Chema and Francesca had known each other before they joined the cast of Love is Blind. Francesca revealed that the two had known each other for around five years, as Chema was friends with a "wonderful man" that Francesca had previously dated.

As the cast was enjoying themselves, hosts Lucy and Omar joined them and asked about their journey. Omar reminded the Love is Blind: Mexico cast that the experiment was about testing their love and said they had only gotten through the first part.

"And now, during the honeymoon phase, you will find out if you are truly a match in the bedroom," Omar added.

Lucy told the participants to "cherish" their partners and to enjoy themselves since they would return to the "reality of everyday life" soon enough. She also reminded the Love is Blind: Mexico cast that they were only a month away from getting married.

After the hosts left, the cast discussed different aspects of their relationships, including physical intimacy. Gerardo noted that his partner Fernanda initiated the next steps of their relationship, and the rest of the cast teased them, having fun.

However, Willy and Francesca weren't keen on sharing details about their private lives, and neither were Leti and Saul. In a confessional, Leti said she didn't want to compare her experience with the rest of the cast.

"I'm not trying to compare my experience with that of any other couple, and I think everyone takes things as they come," Leti said.

The cast slowly broke into smaller groups. Karen asked Leti about her relationship with Saul, and the latter had nothing but praise for her partner. At the same time, Saul and Gerardo were having the same conversation when Saul told his Love is Blind: Mexico castmate that Leti wasn't "very open to anything s*xual."

"She has a lot of fears. I'm used to things being like, I always get what I want, but not this time," Saul said.

Gerardo and Fernanda discussed the conversations they had after they returned to their suite. The former felt that Saul deserved to be with someone who would give him her all and was unsure if Leti was the right match.

The Love is Blind: Mexico star also chimed in about Chema and Silvia's relationship. He said that he didn't think they "matched" and believed they were on the Netflix show for the sake of it.

The following day, the cast members went on dates, and Saul and Leti discussed their future. Leti expressed some concerns about marriage, while her partner noted he was ready. The two had a little disagreement about the progress of their relationship before discussing how Helena, Saul's daughter, would react to him and Leti being together.

Fernando and Karen, and Gerardo and Fernanda went on a group date. During the date, Fernando expressed that he felt that Gerardo and Fernanda were most likely to "go down the aisle."

Later in the episode, Leti opened up about being worried about her relationship due to Saul's expectations. She opened up to Silvia and Francesca about their dynamics and said the Love is Blind: Mexico couple had different love languages. She added that she didn't think he understood the way she liked to show affection.

"He expects me to be something I'm not," she told them.

The two later spoke about their relationship, and Saul told her that if Leti had reservations and doubts, she should open up to him. The two were able to resolve their issues and continue their relationship.

The next few episodes of Love is Blind: Mexico season 1 will be released on Netflix on Friday, August 9, 2024.
