3 main highlights from Love is Blind Mexico episodes 5 to 8
1) Conflict between Willy and Francesca
One of the most surprising revelations in Love is Blind Mexico was Willy and Francesca's breakup. In episode 7, Willy shared he had broken up with Francesca because he wasn't ready for a commitment yet and he wasn't the best version of himself.
Willy wanted to get more time to grow as a person. Meanwhile, Francesca believes he was backing out last minute right after the wedding date was decided. Willy admitted to hurting Francesca, he said:
"It's sad that I couldn't do more, really am. Francesca has been so honest and open with me. I still have a lot of growing to do, a lot of evolving."
However, after a conversation and double date with Gerardo and Fernanda, he decided to think things through, before making a concrete decision.
2) Rene's family disapproval
In episode 7, Irais met Rene's family who were hesitant to give their approval to the couple and felt they were rushing into marriage. Rene shared only his mother knew about the reality TV show but his father didn't. So explaining to him the concept of the show was a tough task.
His family had a lot of questions regarding their relationship and how quickly they were making this decision. Irais felt Rene's family wasn't too welcoming and was implying that their relationship wouldn't last for long even if they got married. Rene's sister didn't want Irais to change her brother, she told the cameras:
"She needs to take that into account, because I for one, don't want my brother to change the way he is just because she doesn't like it."
3) Leti and Saul part ways
In Love is Blind Mexico episode 5, Leti confronts Saul for blaming her for their lack of connection. She wanted him to talk things out with him rather than involve other cast members in their private matters.
Leti also had an issue with Saul's controlling nature and how he jumped to the worst possible conclusions. She was disappointed that Saul's personality was different at Tulum than it was at the pods. During her confessional, she said:
"I feel like the person I met on holiday isn't exactly the same person I met inside the pods. I realized this is a pattern I keep repeating. Facing jealousy and control issues. And I felt I had to break it."
Saul was okay with this decision as he realized there were areas of improvement he had to work on.
