Love is Blind Mexico, the Mexican version of the popular reality dating show, brings together single people who are in search of love. However, the rule is that they cannot meet. Once they connect emotionally, they get engaged and then finally are allowed to meet in person. One of the season's standouts was Leti, whose journey with Saul kept fans captivated.

Leti and Saul felt connected to each other in the pods, but when they met in real life, things got complicated quickly. Saul wanted to take the relationship to a physical level right away, which made Leti feel awkward and caused tension between them.

The discomfort was a big trigger for Leti, making her mental health problems more severe. She later opened up about them on social media. Leti revealed that she has been detected to be on the hyperactive spectrum for autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Both of these conditions affected her experience on the show.

Leti’s struggles with ADHD on Love is Blind Mexico

After Leti and Saul got engaged, they were sent to Tulum to have a romantic retreat to get to know each other better. During their first night together, Leti said in a confessional,

"I worry that men don't think about whether the woman is comfortable when they're having s*x."

Leti's experience on Love is Blind Mexico was further complicated by her ADHD. It can show up in many ways, such as trouble in focusing, acting on impulse, and strong emotional responses. According to Leti, she faced all of these problems while she was on the show.

Saul's desire to speed up their physical relationship made Leti feel even worse because it went against her desire for a slower, more emotionally stable approach. Her honesty about battling ADHD, have made more people aware of the problems they can face, especially in high-stress situations such as reality TV shows.

During a confessional, Leti said,

"I feel a lot of pressure to make things work, and I don't think I can."

Autism and Leti’s reality TV experience in Love is Blind Mexico

Leti also said that she was diagnosed with autism by her psychiatrist, which, along with her ADHD, had a big effect on her time on the show. Autism can make it hard to communicate, interact with others, and process sensory information.

During a conversation with Saul, Leti stated,

"Every time you came over to show me affection, it was because you were trying to prove a point. It felt like you wanted everyone to see that I was rejecting you. I feel bad; there's a lot of pressure. I'm overstimulated."

Leti's moments on the show allowed viewers to realize how important it is to understand and meet the needs of neurodiverse people, especially in emotionally charged situations like those in Love is Blind Mexico.

The fact that she told the public about her diagnoses, has stirred up important conversations about mental health and neurodiversity, which has led to more people being understanding and compassionate. With her story, Leti has become a voice for people who are going through similar things, both on and off screen.
