Love is Blind Mexico is a reality dating show where contestants aim to find true love without ever seeing each other by only connecting through conversations in isolated 'pods'. Among the couples that have gotten together this season, Saul and Leti have stood out due to their chemistry and the bond they've formed since their first conversation.
Since the show premiere on 1 August 2024, Saul and Leti's have sparked an immediate connection. From their initial conversation, they seem to understand each other deeply; being the same age, they tend to share similar values and visions for the future.
On the show, Leti shares that she works as a politician's communications consultant and also owns a bakery. Meanwhile, Saul says he works as a manager in an aviation company. Saul's opening about having a daughter makes Leti understand his sensitive side. Their proposal takes place in episode 2 of Love is Blind Mexico. Saul goes on his knee and asks her to marry him; she instantly says yes.

The momentous proposal: Saul's move through a game of chess in Love is Blind Mexico
Saul keeps a chess board before Leti's arrival in episode 2 of Love is Blind Mexico. He comes up with an idea to propose to her in a unique manner. He asks her to make a move, and as the game goes on, Saul intends to create a narrative to depict his hope that they can continue their journey together outside the pods.
He explains that the only board game his dad has ever taught him is chess, which means a lot to him. Then he asks her to stop playing and pick a letter that is placed next to her.
Saul reads it to Leti:
"I came to this game, with no expectations. Your strategy was solid, putting me in checkmate, without realizing my aim wasn't to win. I'm here for my queen. I'm getting on one knee to ask you, Leticia, will you marry this pawn who wants to become king to his queen."
Leticia's response is filled with gratitude and excitement; she happily accepts his proposal and says she wants to see him already. He expresses in a confessional that their journey on Love is Blind: Mexico is literally a game of chess.
Leti and Saul's encounter after the proposal in Love is Blind Mexico
Leti shares that she is nervous to meet Saul for the first time. On the other side, even when Sal talks about being nervous and his racing heartbeats. He is seen practicing to get on one knee and propose to her in person.
After the doors open, they smile widely and share a kiss immediately after meeting each other. Both of them seem are satisfied with their expectations of the other person. Saul says that Leti is more amazing than he imagined, and she has beautiful eyes. She also mentions that he has a beautiful smile.
He gets on one knee and says:
"I think it's time to make it official; will you marry me?" After Leti says yes, Saul continues, "Now we are officially engaged to be married."
He asks her if she is ready to spend their lives together and she replies, "Yes." In the confessional, he adds that he has a great co-pilot now, and they are going to have a fantastic journey. Meanwhile, Leti talks about getting on a plane and seeing what happens in the future.
