Love is Blind Mexico wrapped up season 1 on Thursday, August 15, 2024, and saw four couples head to the aisle in hopes of walking away from the Netflix social experiment as married couples.
The synopsis of the season finale episode read:
"Joined by loved ones, the rest of the couples head to the altar. As hearts race, some will be forever bound, while others are bound to break."
However, that was only true for Karen and Fernando. Although Francesca and Willy and Rene and Irais, made it to the aisle, Francesca and Rene didn't say "I do" at the end. As for Chema and Silvia, they read their vows and exclaimed their love, but ran away from the aisle together.
One out of four couples got married in Love is Blind Mexico
In Love is Blind Mexico episode 10, Karen's wedding dress made her emotional and she told the cameras she could picture her daughter and her mother at the wedding. Although Karen was certain what she wanted to do, she said she was worried Fernando would have "a moment of madness and say no."
Her family members Emily, Brenda, Carolina, and Stephanie joined her and the Love is Blind Mexico cast member said she felt emotional having her daughter, Emily at her wedding.
Meanwhile, Fernando stated he spent the entire night "tossing and turning" because he was nervous. He was joined by Diego, Ulises, and Alexander, his family members. Ulises asked him if the couple had ever argued and the Netflix star recalled his and Karen's journey so far.
Several other family members met with the couple, respectively, as they advised them about what to do. When it was time to answer, whether "true love" was "blind," Karen said, "Yes." Fernando said he didn't just want to see if their relationship would work but that he wanted to make it work.
In his speech, Fernando said that when he fell in love with her on Love is Blind Mexico, he fell in love with "all" of her, including "somebody else." The cast member spoke to Emily and said:
"Emi, you're a wonderful girl. All I can truly promise you is that I'll give you everything I have in my relationship with your mom. I'll always protect you both and put you first before everything and everyone."
Silvia and Cheema didn't get married but decided to keep dating
As the Love is Blind Mexico couple got ready to walk down the aisle, they got ready in their respective rooms and discussed their relationship with their friends and family.
Silvia told her friends that, while she was happy, she was also nervous. Meanwhile, Cheema told his friends that, while he wasn't nervous, he wanted to be sure he was making the right decision. His friend Francisco asked Chema how he and his daughter felt about Silvia becoming a part of the family.
While praising Silvia's connection with his daughter, Chema said Silvia was great with her and made an effort to take care of her. Jose told the Love is Blind Mexico star that although Silvia may be great, they didn't know each other for long enough to get married.
As the two met at the altar, they expressed their love for one another. The Love is Blind Mexico female cast member described her and Chema's relationship as a "fairy tale" destined to have a happy ending. She promised to take care of him, respect him, and love him every day.
"And to cuddle Anto, the apple of your eye," Silvia said.
While reading out his vows, Chema said Silvia was a "warrior" who couldn't be defeated by anyone. He thanked her for making the social experiment a "journey full of joy, tears, funny moments," and more.
When it was time to discover if "true love" was blind, Silvia was asked to answer first. However, she kissed him and told him she loved him. The two ran away from the aisle, hand in hand, because they didn't want to follow the rules. At the end of the episode, they revealed, that they were going to keep dating.
