Episode 8 shows the six couples meeting each other's families. At the same time, five couples succeeded in asking for the family's approval concerning the upcoming marriage, and Monica and Stephen parted ways. The synopsis of the episode reads:

"Cohabitation leads to tough conversations about cross-country moves, finances and living arrangements. A shocking discovery devastates a bride-to-be."

What happened in Love is Blind season 7 episode 8?

Titled Dirty Laundry, the episode of Love Is Blind started with Stephen trying to mend things with Monica. He took her to a shop specializing in preserving flowers to make up for not giving them to her before. Monica opened up about her father not being okay with the idea of being filmed but was open to meeting Stephen.

Nick took Hannah to his parents' house, where he confessed to living with them. As he showcased his room, he admitted that he was feeling anxious and that Hannah was the third girl he had brought back home. Hannah stated that she was pleasantly surprised by how well-kept the place was. However, she asks Nick to move in with her if they get married.

Ramses met with Marissa's friends, and the topic of the latter being part of the military came up again, as her friends were also part of it. Ramses explained that he felt strongly about the matter because of his time in Venezuela, where the US military has a complicated history.

"Venezuela has a very complicated history with the US. I've just been exposed to the other side of things a lot and to different views... I always stand with people who are under the hammer of US imperialism," expressed Ramses.

Later, Tim and Alexandra invited the latter's family to dinner, and Alexandra expressed concerns about her father. She revealed that her father did not know about the experiment and was worried about him not getting along with Tim. After introducing himself, Tim explained that the two bonded because family was so important to them.

Tim impressed Alex parents and her two brothers by showcasing openness, vulnerability, and his cooking skills. He later asked her father to have a one-on-one conversation with him and read the proposal letter he wrote to her in the pods. Hesitant at first, Alex’s father is visibly moved by the words and blesses the relationship.

Stephen opened up to Monica about not having a job due to being in the pods of Love Is Blind. The latter expressed that she was okay with the idea of him not having a job but was concerned with Stephen being worried about their upcoming marriage. Stephen assured her he was fully on board with tying the knot and had moved past his insecurities.

Hannah and Nick talked about how they would manage their day-to-day lives as before the experiment of Love Is Blind, Nick's parents looked after his finances. Hannah confronted him and asked him to pay his bills as she had done since she was 18.

Later, Tyler met Ashley's father, who saw potential in his future son-in-law. Tyler confided in her father, who said he wanted to share everything with her. He later asked Ashley's father for his approval of their marriage, which moved the latter emotionally, and he gave their union his blessing.

As the episode of Love Is Blind was about to conclude, Taylor visited Monica to talk about Stephen. It was revealed that Stephen had been sending sexual messages to a different woman. As Taylor gave the couple some alone time to discuss their differences, Monica completely broke down and questioned Stephen's intentions from the beginning.

"Stop acting like, "You're right." I know I'm right. Say something else. Why did you do this? Why did you propose? Why did you come here? Who are you?"

Stephen attempted to own up to his mistake and tried to reassure her, but Monica could not let go of the situation. The couple eventually decided to part ways as Stephen left Monica's apartment.

Love Is Blind season 7 debuted on October 2 with 6 episodes and will air the finale on October 23.
