Love Is Blind has concluded its seventh season, filled with emotional highs and tragic turns. The Washington, D.C. singles joined this social experiment to find their one true soulmate.
However, only three couples' outcomes were the main focus of the season finale, which debuted on Netflix on October 23. Two couples made it to the altar, but one relationship ended before the wedding day.
In the course of the season, love stories blossomed, and seven couples courageously chose to get engaged. However, the path to the altar wasn't without its share of drama, including surprise breakups, startling revelations, and love triangles.
Love is Blind: Three pivotal moments of the finale
1) Taylor and Garrett said, "I do"
In the Love Is Blind season 7 finale, Taylor Krause and Garrett Josemans were one of the two couples who got married. From the moment they met in the pods, the duo seemed to have a strong bond, one of the main reasons being their passion for science.
Garrett, a quantum physicist, and Taylor, a consultant for renewable energy policy, encountered their first major obstacle when Garrett replied to a text from his former partner, which strained their relationship.
Despite the minor setback, the couple’s relationship remained strong. In the finale, Garrett expressed his deep connection with Taylor in his vows, stating,
“The beautiful thing about us is that we didn’t come into this expecting to find our person.”
Taylor, in turn, told Garrett, “I love your sense of humor and wit,” highlighting the bond they shared throughout the experiment. Both said, “I do,” and the couple left the altar excited about their future together.
2) Ashley and Tyler's wedding
Ashley Adionser and Tyler Francis had a more challenging journey to the altar in Love Is Blind season 7. Their relationship was tested when Tyler admitted, just weeks before their wedding, that he had fathered three children via sperm donation.
This confession nearly derailed their engagement, as Ashley was shocked by the news and questioned their communication.
However, the couple resolved the conflict and ultimately proceeded with their wedding. During the ceremony, Tyler declared his love for Ashley, saying,
"You've shown me what love truly is."
In her vows, Ashley referred to Tyler as her soulmate. After exchanging heartfelt vows, they finally said "I do" and pledged to work together to create their future. Viewers might anticipate learning more about the couple's plans to start a family during the reunion episode.
3) Marissa and Ramses’ breakup
While the aforementioned couples made it to the altar, Marissa George and Ramses Prashad’s relationship ended before the wedding. Throughout the season, the couple faced several challenges, including Ramses’ concerns about Marissa’s high energy levels and disagreements about birth control.
However, the real turning point came in the final episode when Ramses disclosed his doubts about getting married after talking to his family.
In an emotional scene, Ramses explained that he was unsure if their energies would mesh well in day-to-day life, stating,
“It was great and fine in Cabo, but here everyday when you bring in work and day-to-day stresses, I didn’t feel like I had a moment to myself.”
Marissa, heartbroken by his decision, shared her distress, saying,
“This is the worst heartbreak I’ve ever experienced.”
The couple parted ways, marking one of the most emotional moments in the Love Is Blind season 7 finale.
Love Is Blind season 7 reunion episode will be released on Wednesday, October 30, on Netflix.
