Love Is Blind Season 7 finale, which aired on Wednesday, October 23, revealed the fate of the couples who connected in the pods.
This season, set in Washington DC, featured seven couples who took a risk by being engaged without ever meeting. Their adventures became more complicated as the season progressed due to love triangles, emotional disclosures, and last-minute twists.
By the end, Ashley and Tyler, and Taylor and Garrett were the two couples who made it to the altar. By saying "I do," both couples reaffirmed their dedication to a future together.
Love is Blind: Taylor and Garrett’s journey to “I do”
Taylor and Garrett quickly became one of the season’s strongest couples. Since their earliest conversations in the pods, they formed a deep connection, based on shared intellectual interests and personal values.
Taylor and Garrett bonded over their scientific tattoos—Taylor's hydrogen formula and Garrett's uncertainty-principle equation—which sparked immediate chemistry.
As Taylor described,
“I wasn’t going to share my ethnicity, because it was an opportunity to have someone not know what I look like at all.”
This moment of vulnerability helped the couple grow closer, leading Garrett to propose with a heartfelt declaration:
“It’s like every molecule of me just wants to come through this wall and be with you.”
Despite their strong bond, the couple hit a rough patch after leaving the pods. Garrett’s communication with a woman from his past caused tension, particularly given Taylor’s past experiences with infidelity.
Although Garrett insisted the exchange was innocent, his lack of transparency triggered Taylor. Given that they were going to meet Taylor's family, they decided to proceed after he expressed regret and recognized his error.
Both Taylor and Garrett were confident about their future in the days before the wedding. To convince Taylor's father that he would look after her, Garrett said,
“I promise to be there for her and always respect her and put her feelings first.”
On their wedding day, the couple confidently said “I do,” marking the culmination of their Love Is Blind journey.
Love is Blind: Ashley and Tyler’s road to marriage
Ashley and Tyler’s connection was evident from their first date. Initially nervous, Tyler opened up after hearing Ashley’s calming voice.
“I think it’s attractive when guys can be vulnerable and be themselves,” Ashley remarked.
As their bond grew, they discovered that they had much in common, like Tyler's childhood hardships. Ashley greeted Tyler with cake and balloons on his birthday, but her declaration of love—which prompted Tyler to pop the question—was the most significant gift for him.
When they initially met, their physical bond was as strong as their emotional bond. As they explored their relationship back home, the couple's chemistry only got stronger.
But a few weeks before the wedding, Tyler disclosed a personal secret: he was the sperm donor father of three children. The revelation shook Ashley, especially since they had discussed starting a family together. But Tyler wasn’t ready to give up on their relationship, telling her,
“I’ll fight [for us] until you tell me to stop fighting.”
Ashley, though initially upset, decided to continue working on their relationship. The couple’s bond only grew stronger, and in a symbolic leap of faith, they went skydiving together just before the wedding. This experience solidified their commitment to face challenges together.
On their wedding day, Ashley emphasized how safe Tyler made her feel. Despite Tyler’s nerves, the couple confidently exchanged vows, beginning the next chapter of their Love Is Blind journey as husband and wife.
Love Is Blind Season 7 fans are eagerly waiting for the reunion episode which will be released on Netflix, on October 30.
