Season 7 of Love Is Blind has concluded, and fans are curious to know which contestants from the pod squad have managed to keep their connection alive beyond the cameras.
The reunion episode aired on Netflix on Wednesday, October 30, at 9 p.m. ET. The audience finally got a firsthand update on the status of the relationships from Love is Blind season 7.
This season saw several love stories emerge in the pods, but only a few made it to the altar and beyond. Among them, two couples—Taylor-Garrett and Ashley-Tyler—have shared that they are still together and thriving.
Each pair has had its share of unique challenges and adjustments, but both marriages appear to have emerged stronger, even after their time in the public eye.
Love Is Blind: Taylor and Garrett
Taylor and Garrett’s love story began in the pods, where they found themselves drawn to each other’s openness and willingness to tackle hard questions. Their decision to say “I do” at the altar wasn’t an easy one, but the foundation they built in the pods has helped them navigate life together ever since.
“We were very open and honest with each other, which allowed us on the wedding day to feel comfortable because I knew as much as I could possibly know about her.”
Garrett shared this, highlighting the effort they both put into understanding each other deeply during the experiment.
Although their relationship has been strong, the couple faced a challenging transition early on, particularly with blending their lives. Initially, they decided to move back to Garrett’s hometown in Fredericksburg, though they often visit the West Coast to stay connected with Taylor’s family.
“It’s been great, but it’s also a transition,” Taylor admitted, describing the process of merging their lives as “a lot,” but she remains confident they’re figuring it out.
Another test came when Garrett received a direct message from an ex, sparking a difficult conversation between the two. For Taylor, the message brought up feelings from past experiences, but both she and Garrett agree that it served as a learning opportunity.
Garrett shared:
“The big takeaway was to put Taylor’s feelings first,” reflecting on how the situation taught him the importance of prioritizing his wife.
In response, Taylor added:
“Now we have very clear lines about how we communicate with exes or not,” expressing relief over the clarity they’ve since reached.
Looking back, Garrett and Taylor feel grateful for their Love Is Blind journey. “As scientists, we had a very small sample size to work off of,” Garrett said, adding that they knew they were taking a risk in saying “yes.”
But as they plan to settle in Washington, D.C., they’re excited for the future and continuing to embrace their life together.
Love Is Blind: Ashley and Tyler
For Ashley and Tyler, Love Is Blind introduced them to a bond that has continued to flourish in the real world.
“I’m so happy that I can finally tell the world that I married my best friend.”
Over the past year, the couple has worked to protect their relationship by maintaining a strong, supportive bond even as they navigate the unique pressures that come with being public figures.
“Protecting us and enjoying this little bubble we’ve been in has been our main focus.”
Ashley admitted that building a life together hasn’t been without its challenges, particularly with the balance required in setting up a shared home.
“Apparently it’s not all my way, and I’ve had to learn how to pick and choose my battles,” she joked.
The couple has had to tackle some unexpected obstacles, including a revelation about Tyler’s past that added a layer of complexity. Tyler, who fathered two children via sperm donation, initially kept this detail private.
“Omission is a lie,” Ashley said, admitting she wished Tyler had shared this earlier, though she understands his reasons. “I do now understand why he wanted to protect their identity,” she noted, acknowledging that while it’s not a factor in their daily lives, it’s a reality they’re ready to handle together if it becomes relevant in the future.
Despite this, the couple’s relationship remains strong after Love is Blind, and they’re looking forward to expanding their family. “This hasn’t impacted our future at all,” Tyler said, confirming that they still plan to have children together.
Ashley noted that Love Is Blind pushed them to confront issues directly. “I’ve never been in such a healthy relationship,” she shared, appreciating the growth they’ve achieved as a couple.
