Love is Blind UK: Couples’ age gaps explored

Love is Blind UK released on Netflix with its inaugural season on August 7, 2024. The contestants got engaged with the ones they had the most connection with. Couples including Bobby & Jasmine, Freddie & Catherine, Ollie & Demi, Tom & Maria, and Steven & Sabrina ended up falling for each other.

The road to engagement, however, wasn’t easy and they had to go through love triangles, doubts, and brief conversations. Some contestants got engaged, some went their separate ways and some were not able to find the person they were looking for. Bobby and Jasmine

33-year-old luxury shopping guide Bobby and 29-year-old mental health nurse Jasmine have an age gap of 4 years. At first, Jasmine was confused between Sam and Bobby but as she talked with them, and decided that Sam wasn’t a good fit for her.

Bobby on the other hand bonded with Jasmine pretty well. The two talked about their love for their mothers and eventually got engaged. While the couple looked happy on their way to Greece, the trailer for future episodes showed that Jasmine was crying in her wedding dress. Freddie and Catherine

32-year-old funeral director Freddie and 29-year-old dental nurse Catherine have an age gap of 3 years. Catherine had her eyes on Ollie and Freddie at the start of the season but when she saw that Ollie was more into Demi, she went all in on Freddie.

The conversations between Freddie and Catherine carried a strong sense of destiny. They discovered that their grandfathers shared the same name, and both of them enjoyed hitting the gym twice a day. Freddie has a brother with Down syndrome, while Catherine teaches swimming to children with Down syndrome.

Ollie and Demi

32-year-old software salesperson Ollie and 30-year-old attendance manager Demi have an age gap of 2 years. Ollie was confused between Catherine and Demi. But then Catherine made it easy for Ollie by letting him go and pursue his connection with Demi. The pair found comfort in each other and Demi even opened up about her struggles with endometriosis.

The pair got engaged and happily went ahead in the show. But the trailer for future episodes shows that things might take a turn for the couple. In the trailer, Ollie reunites with his old connection Catherine, leading fans of Love is Blind UK to believe that there might be some unfinished business between the two.

Tom and Maria

38-year-old PR and advertising consultant Tom and 30-year-old makeup artist Maria have an age gap of 8 years. Tom too was involved in one of the Love is Blind UK Love triangles, with Maria and Natasha.

However, after having conversations with Maria, Tom knew that he wanted to pursue her. The pair were not able to keep their hands off each other when they first met face to face, and ended up getting engaged.

Steven and Sabrina

31-year-old gym owner Steven and 35-year-old director of marketing and communications Sabrina have an age gap of 4 years. Steven and Sabrina only had eyes for each other from the start and only had one major issue.

This Love is Blind UK pair was not on the same ground when it came to having kids. Steven wanted to start a family and have kids of his own, while Sabrina was not quite sure about having kids. The couple eventually resolved this issue and ended up getting engaged to each other.
