Love is Blind UK episode 9: Recap and more details explored

The second installment of Love is Blind UK, i.e. episodes 5 to 9 arrived on Wednesday, August 14. It saw the couples in the third phase of the experiment, where they moved in together for the ultimate test of their relationship.

Episode 9 of the show was the last time viewers would see the couples before their big day. The episode was titled, "He wants a prenup" after Freddie asked Catherine to sign one, and saw the couples meeting each other's friends and family.

It culminated in the ladies and the gentlemen going wedding dress shopping with their co-stars. Finally, they went on their last dates and confessed their love for each other.

What went down in episode 9 of Love is Blind UK?

The Love is Blind UK episode kicked off with Sabrina and Stevan getting breakfast on a rooftop, while Ollie and Demi went on a park date. Nicole opened up to Benaiah about feeling nervous about starting all over again.

Benaiah said that after she chose Sam, he went back to Germany to his family and they saw him very upset with the situation. He warned Nicole that they might bring that up when she meets them.

And with that, Benaiah's mom and sister showed up at his and Nicole's place. At the dining table, his mom straight up brought up how upset he was when he returned to Germany from the pods. She said he didn't eat, nor did they know how to talk to him. Nicole then apologized for not trusting him enough.

Catherine and Freddie met two of her friends. They got to know Freddie's profession as a funeral director and approved of it. Freddie confirmed with them he wanted to marry Catherine but admitted that she was high maintenance. When Freddie was away, Catherine revealed to her friends that he wanted a prenup, which they disapproved of because they thought it was controlling.

Benaiah's mom told him she approved of Nicole, while his sister told Nicole that she liked her for him. Tom's sisters came over to meet Maria. On the dining table, they talked about the disagreements the two have been having.

Maria brought up her reluctance to contribute to the mortgage of the house if she ended up marrying Tom. His sisters thought it was okay, but it also meant that she had doubts about their relationship's longevity.

When Freddie met Catherine's parents, he talked to them about the doubts in his mind regarding his relationship with Catherine. Her dad encouraged him to listen to his heart, while her mom added she was glad to see him become a part of their family.

It was then Bobby's time to meet Jasmine's mom. She interrogated Bobby on his education and past relationships, trying to gauge the person he was. She explained in a Love is Blind UK confessional that she was very protective of her daughter because she had two failed marriages.

The brides-to-be then went wedding dress shopping together, accompanied by their near and dead ones. Things got emotional on the ladies' side as the brides tried their dresses on one after the other.

All the Love is Blind UK couples, then went on their last dates with their partners. Sabrina and Stevan looked at their wedding as the best day of their lives. Maria got emotional about missing her dad at the wedding, on her date with Tom. Ollie and Demi went to play arcade games on their date, where their chemistry became apparent.

Nicole told Benaiah that he brought out her ability to be "silly" and "childish" and said that she valued that. Benaiah opened up in a Love is Blind UK confessional and said that he had been single for 11 years, and stressed the importance of Nicole in his life.

Jasmine, on her date with Bobby, told him he was her ideal partner. She said she felt safe with him and that their love was going to last for an eternity.
