What happened in the Love Is Blind Argentina premiere?
The Latin American version of Love Is Blind welcomed 16 men and 16 women to their lounges. Contestants were equally excited to see the celebrity hosts as they were to begin their new journey. They provided the details of the show to the hopeful individuals, who soon started entering the pods to mingle with others.
Agustina has been single since birth and found herself connecting with Santiago. The latter came to the pods to find a genuine connection as he was tired of short-term ones.
He revealed a dream he had a night before entering the pods in which he saw a name but not the face of a woman who felt like his partner. In a dream-come-true situation, the next woman he met with on a pod date had the same name. Emily is a budding journalist who came out of an abusive relationship a year ago. The only problem was that they both supported rival football clubs.
In different pods, Marino and Maria connected as they both had kids. The latter wasn't shy about her desire to get married. Maira later managed to connect with not only Marino but also Mauricio.
"If I fall in love during this experiment, I'm bound to get married. That's why I'm here, for love and marriage," stated Maria.
Santiago and Maria went on a second date and the former became emotional as he recalled his humble upbringing. Maria opened up to Santiago about a traumatic experience as she was robbed at knifepoint. They both decided to meet again as they felt connected to each other.
The news had already reached Agustina who didn't appreciate Maria telling the rest of the girls about their commitment. Santiago consoled Agustina and revealed that he felt more compatible with her. In a confessional, he stated that he wanted to test whether his feelings for Emily were genuine by continuing to converse with others on Love Is Blind Argentina.
Tom met up with two ladies back-to-back as he went on dates with both Florfi and Florencia. The women enjoyed Tom's company, and both weren't shy about appreciating the energy he brought to the dates. Tom later revealed that Florencia was his top choice, while Florencia confessed that she felt like she was already engaged to Tom.
Things came to a head in the love triangle of Santiago, Agustina, and Emily when Agustina called Santiago an "idiot" and a "dumba*s" for choosing someone based on a dream. They eventually decided not to continue their relationship on Love Is Blind Argentina.
This led Santiago to connect with Emily further as he labeled her as his number one choice. Despite a few hiccups in their conversations, Santiago got down on one knee and proposed to Emily, who agreed. The episode concluded on a cliffhanger as the two were about to see each other face-to-face for the first time.
