What happened in the Love Is Blind: Germany premiere?
The hosts Steffi and Christian welcomed the single participants in the men's and women's lounges as the Love Is Blind: Germany kicked off. The episode saw Hanni, a real estate broker, go on a date with various singles. She revealed that she liked making people laugh and hoped to find a life partner who appreciated her for her mind.
Hanni managed to connect with Daniel and real estate broker Ilias. However, Ilias also had a connection with Alina, who claimed that she was frustrated with her dates not taking her seriously. She managed to connect with Ilias as they had both turned spiritual recently and seemingly felt that it was felt that they were both cast on Love Is Blind: Germany.
"A lot of people tend to see things rationally. And for me, it's more like, if I'm unsure about something, or if I have questions, then I actually put that question to the universe," stated Alina.
A third female contestant, Shella had an emotional moment when she spoke about how her previous relationships failed. She said that she tended to create a "wall" to protect herself from getting hurt.
Shella, a native of Togo, was surprised when she found out that a third male contestant, Pascal had visited Africa. The contestant also managed to make a connection with Fabio, who revealed that he has been single for five years and wanted to be "100%" sure about his partner.
Meanwhile, Marcel introduced himself to the women on Love Is Blind: Germany and explained that he was into sustainable work and did a lot of charity work. Jen and Marcel connected on a deeper level after conversing about more intimate stuff.
On their second date, Shella and Pascal opened up more about their past relationships and Shella became emotional when she revealed her ex's infidelity.
The next day, in the women's lounge, Hanni expressed that she liked Ilias a lot which raised some concerns for Alina who felt the same. However, Hanni also gave Daniel a ring as she revealed that her father had left them when she was 17 or 18 years old. She said that her mother had given the ring to her at the time and that she had been wearing it ever since.
"My dad left and it was really tough for my mom. I supported my mom a lot and it brought us really close. I mean, sure, we had a good relationship before that, too. Anyway, it was really difficult," expressed Hanni.
Since Hanni felt that she had a stronger connection with Daniel, she ended things with Ilias, who tried to convince her otherwise. Meanwhile, Daniel and Hanni were a little nervous but went on a date again where Daniel went down on one knee and asked Hanni to marry him.
The premiere episode of Love Is Blind: Germany ended on a cliffhanger when the two participants were about to meet.
