Netflix announced the release of the seventh season of their franchise, Love Is Blind, and anticipation grew among reality show fans as to what to expect from the new set of singles in the pods. The dating show premiered on October 2, 2024, and has now released new episodes on October 9, 2024.
Earlier, 14 men and 15 women tried their luck on Love Is Blind as they attempted to mingle among other single individuals of their liking in hopes of finding a partner for life. The singles are left alone in the pods without any distractions from the outside world. The only condition is that they must communicate with others through a wall before the honeymoon phase.
In the three new episodes, the six couples went to Mexico for their honeymoon and interacted with other couples for the first time. As the bonds deepen, problems arise as the couples try to navigate their personal lives around their new fiances.
What happened in Love Is Blind season 7 episode 7?
Episode 7 starts with Love Is Blind couples enjoying their time in Mexico. Marissa and Ramses took a yacht trip as the former opened up more about her time in the Navy. However, things were not as serene between Alexandra and Tim due to the conflict between the couple in the previous episodes. Tim expressed that since Alexandra was open to his thought process, he was willing to give it more time.
Monica confronted Stephen about something that was bothering her about her partner. She felt his promises in the pods did not match his actions, which irked her. Stephen explained that may not be able to give her gifts like her family does due to his poor upbringing. Monica assured him that she was there for him and they should take one step at a time.
All the couples later met, and they were welcomed with some fireworks. They got some time to chat with each other and shared tidbits about their journey on Love is Blind. Monica got annoyed with Stephen again, because he ignored her when the former asked her to join him to watch the fireworks.
Stephen later explained to Monica that he was talking to Garrett at the time and did not want to be rude by leaving mid-conversation. She still felt disrespected by her partner and stated her annoyance to co-contestant Taylor.
"This is what I don't like about arguing. 'Cause then everything he's doing is pissing me off," stated Monica.
After the night out, the couples packed up and flew to Washington, D.C., as the hosts, Nick and Vanessa Lachey, explained how important it would be to figure out how to live together. Taylor and Garrett checked each other's social media accounts, where the latter showcased his hobby of fishing while Ramses and Marissa shared their excitement about meeting each other's families.
Taylor visited Garrett's house on Love Is Blind and met the whole family. The couple shared what aspects brought them together. Taylor also explained that her family did not want cameras at their home, so they planned to bring them to Washington, D.C. Everyone was emotional as Taylor expressed how important it was for Garret to stay in her life and that she would do anything to work out this relationship.
Ramses cooked dinner for Marissa, and the couple sat down to have a conversation about a complicated topic. Marissa explained that she embraced religion after her time in the Navy. Ramses expressed his feelings about the military, stating that he felt privileged to live in the U.S. but also appreciated the ability to critique its policies.
"I am privileged to live in this country but at the same time, I will always critique how the US has sort of destabilized entire countries," stated Ramses.
Marissa understood Ramses' perspective and stated she didn't fully support the military's beliefs but backed the troops. She also argued that military personnel should not be blamed for the government's actions as the people signing up for the military were young adults who did not know what they were doing at that age.
