Netflix has officially announced the much-anticipated return of the hit series Love Is Blind in the United Kingdom, with the upcoming release of Love Is Blind season 2. In an exciting development, Netflix has already kicked off the casting for the new season on their website Tudum.

Love Is Blind: UK season 2 detailed updates and expectations

The upcoming season is set to be launched next year. The casting process for the show has already commenced, with Tudum, Netflix's official website, providing a link for interested individuals to apply in hopes of finding their perfect match.

Speaking to Netflix Tudum, the Director of Unscripted UK Programming at Netflix, Daisy Lilley, said,

“The response to [Season] 1 has been fantastic, and we are thrilled to go again on [Season] 2. We’re delighted that Matt and Emma Willis will be back as hosts as more hopeful couples navigate the highs and lows of this unique love experiment.”

Aspiring candidates are required to fill out an application with their details, photographs, and a series of questions. Any individual who is a resident of the UK and is over the age of 18 is eligible to apply for casting in this exciting new season.

The release date of the show hasn’t been announced by Netflix yet, however, the show is confirmed to be back with season 2 in 2025.

A follow-up on the last season

As Tudum announced the anticipated upcoming season, the credit goes to the success of the first season of Love Is Blind. In Netflix’s words,

“After a successful first date, Love Is Blind is making things official with the United Kingdom.”

The show calls itself a unique love experiment, where all the singles come to find love. The UK edition turned out to be a successful one with the support of the contestants, co-hosts Matt and Emma, and the format itself.

Season 1's reunion is set to be released on August 26, 2024, at 9 PM BST, having a look at the past contestants and their relationships.

Love birds Sabrina and Steven, the first engaged couple of the season, are together and growing, according to Netflix’s Tudum. In love since the first day, the couple overcame their obstacles and are now on their way to saying “I do”.

The ex-couple Maria and Tom, fighting through their differences and inconsistencies, lost each other and aren’t together anymore. Tom was first with Natasha and then shared a deep connection with Maria in the show. As the couple comes back from their retreat onscreen, their union cracks as their values don’t align regarding their relationship, causing Maria to leave.

Jasmine and Bobby, another Love is Blind couple, grew fonder of each other in the show after opening up to each other’s vulnerabilities. Both think their connection is something they have never experienced before, and are still together and got married after overcoming their challenges.

Other Love is Blind couples that aren’t together include Demi and Olie, Nicole and Benaiah, and Catherine and Freddie, who couldn’t fight through their differences and ultimately decided to part ways.

Further details of the upcoming season 2 of Love Is Blind: UK will be announced by Netflix soon.
