Love Is Blind: UK season 1- Meet the hosts

The much-awaited debut season of the UK version of Love Is Blind is all set and in the making. Love Is Blind: UK season 1 will premiere in August 2024 on Netflix and will be hosted by Emma Willis and Matt Willis.

Viewers might know Emma from her Big Brother presenter days, while Matt is a musician and co-founded the pop band Busted. Notably, it seems like a Love Is Blind tradition for real-life couples to oversee the dating show and guide singles. From pods to their altar, the hosts will provide much-needed assistance to singles.

Love Is Blind: UK Hosts Emma and Matt Willis

Love Is Blind is a popular dating reality show on Netflix. After its debut season, the show was adopted to eight different international versions, including Brazil, Japan, Sweden, and the upcoming UK, Germany, Mexico, Habibi, and Argentina.

Talking about how they started to work together on Love Is Blind: UK, Matt shared with Netflix Tudum:

"I’m so excited to be presenting the UK version of Love Is Blind with Emma. We love the show! It’s been such a dream working together and fascinating to watch the process unfold. Emma Willis

Emma Louise Willis was born on March 18, 1976, and is an English broadcaster. Her works, including BBC, ITV, Heart FM, and Channel 5, are quite popular. She has also presented reality shows such as Big Brother, Celebrity Big Brother, and The Voice UK from 2014 to the present.

She has also hosted the children’s spin-off show The Voice Kids and seasons 2 and 3 of The Circle. The upcoming Love Is Blind: UK will be her yet another show with Matt, as co-hosts.

Matt Willis

Mathew James Willis was born in Tooting, London, on May 8, 1983. He is an English musician who sings and writes. He is also an actor and a television personality. His debut solo album was released in November 2006. Matt won the ITV reality show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! during the sixth season.

His acting ventures include the ITV sitcom Birds of a Feather, Luke Riley, BBC One’s EastEnders, and more. Emma and Matt got married in 2008 and have three children together.

Love Is Blind: UK season 1

Similar to other Love Is Blind seasons’ format, Love Is Blind: UK will follow the same. Singles are placed in individual pods to meet potential soulmates without any distractions from the outside world.

If they decide to get engaged, they will then see their fiancé for the first time and spend time together to see if their physical connection matches their emotional one. When they return to the real world, they must confront the challenges of everyday life to determine if love is truly blind before their wedding day.
