Love Island Australia season 6 premiered on October 28 and introduced a new batch of Australian singles looking to find love in the villa. Through weeks of challenges, some couples strengthened their connection while others went their separate ways and formed new ones.
Six couples made it to the final week out of which three couples - Steph and Mimi, Hannah and Taylor, and Dylan and Sophie - got dumped and broke up after leaving the villa.
Em and Mercedes, Kaylah and Eric, and Niko and Mia entered the finale and are still together at the time of writing.
Three Love Island Australia Season 6 couples are still together
Em and Mercedes (Still together)
Em was one of the OG contestants on Love Island Australia Season 6 and initially formed a friendship couple with Indigo. She later paired up with Taylor and the couple had a strong romantic connection until Mercedes entered the Villa.
Em was intrigued by Mercedes' zest for life, travel, and thrifted fashion while the latter felt that they had a lot in common. The two formed a couple and later Mercedes made things official when he asked Em to be his girlfriend.
The chemistry between Em and Mercedes was undeniable during their steamy date at Hotel Amor. Mercedes expressed his deep attraction to Em, calling her his “soulmate on the other side of the world.”
During their final date on the show, Mercedes told his partner that he never thought that he would meet someone that he liked as much as her. He added how things felt easy between the two and he found the one for whom he came into the villa.
"I feel like we're both not tied down to where we're living, my goal is to move somewhere new and exciting, like somewhere in Europe or somewhere in the States – with you," Em gushed.
Despite facing a few hurdles, the couple has remained together since their time on Love Island Australia season 6, where they ultimately emerged as the winners.
Kaylah and Eric (Still together)
Kaylah was initially coupled up with Zane and later formed a connection with Steph. However, Kaylah wasn't that happy with the relationship and wanted to go back to Zane.
After a lot of to and fro the Love Island Australia Season 6 contestant finally found a strong connection when Eric entered the villa as a bombshell later on in the show.
As the newest couple in the Villa, Kaylah and Eric bonded quickly, discovering they had much in common. Both live near each other in NSW and share a passion for fitness, working within the same industry.
Although their time together in the villa was brief, they managed to become one of the final three couples. Despite their strong connection, they fell short in the superfan vote and finished the season as runners-up.
Niko and Mia (Still together)
Niko was charmed by Mia since the first time she entered the villa as a bombshell. While there were some issues between the couple due to Niko's ex-partner Hannah, the Love Island Australia Season 6 couple corked through it and has been strong together ever since.
During their final date, Niko and Mia shared heartfelt gratitude for meeting each other and took the opportunity to discuss their future goals together. They talked about getting married and some they having kids as well.
"I want to introduce you to my family, I want to be introduced to your family and I feel like we've built that connection, we can overcome interstate travel... I think just keep going year by year, see how we go and hopefully one day we can get both our goal and that's married and kids," Niko told Mia.
