Love Island UK season 5 premiered on June 3, 2019, on ITV2. Caroline Flack hosted the fifth season. On July 29, 2019, the show ended with Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea as the winning couple. Their relationship did not last long after the show ended, and they opted to part ways after splitting the winning amount.
Many contestants from Love Island UK season 5 formed genuine bonds and shared hearty connections with fellow participants throughout the show. However, not all of them stayed together after the show ended. The only couple that has stayed together after the season came to an end is Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague.
Love Island UK season 5: The couple who is still together
Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague from Love Island UK season 5 are still together in 2024. They were in the show until the finale and finished in second place. Throughout the show, the duo stayed together for more than 50 days. They had already been together while they were in the villa and continued even after the show ended.
In August 2023, Tommy and Molly started their own reality show, At Home with the Furys. It aired on Netflix, and fans eagerly await a second season. The show features Tommy’s half-brother, Tyson Fury, and his family.
In an interview in June 2021 with Cosmopolitan, Molly-Mae shared that:
"I do believe we’re soulmates. My parents love him. We’re cringey and mushy, and I like it like that. We know we’re going to be together forever. … We’re so content, like two peas in a pod."
The couple moved in together in 2019. Later in 2023, the couple welcomed their first daughter, a baby girl, Bambi. In 2023, they announced their engagement. According to the couple, they went to Ibiza with their daughter and had their romantic proposal in July 2023.
Love Island UK season 5: The winning couple
Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea were the winning couple in season 5. About five weeks after the show ended, they announced their split. According to Greg, they broke up too soon. He shared more on Doireann Garrihy's podcast The Laughs of Your Life in 2022, saying,
"I should have bit my tongue bit longer and stayed in the relationship with Amber a bit longer. I was just way too honest and way too focused about going to the Olympics at the time, which worked because I did go in hindsight."
Love Island UK season 5: Couples who are no longer together
During Love Island UK season 5, various couples formed connections and eventually broke up. One of the couples was Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea, who were initially together. Despite winning, they split a few weeks after the show ended.
Another couple was Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins. They were together for eight months and later broke up. Fans might know that Maura Higgins hosts the Love Island USA Aftersun show. It features the drama and the incidents that take place on the show and invites many contestants who recently left or were eliminated from the villa.

- Ovie Soko & India Reynolds
