Love Island USA season 6: 2 times islanders wanted to quit the show

Love Island USA season 6 premiered on June 11, 2024, and wrapped up the season on July 21, 2024, when it crowned Serena and Kordell as the winners. The latest season had several notable moments, including arguments, fights, and islanders threatening to leave the show.

One such threat came when Andrea Carmona was eliminated from the show. Robert 'Rob' Rausch, the season 5 bombshell who returned to find love in season 6 as an original cast member, threatened to walk out with her as he didn't see himself connecting with anyone else during the Peacock show.

Later in the season, when the male islanders returned from Casa Amor, JaNa Craig threatened to leave the show after her partner, Kenny, returned to the villa with Catherine. At the time, JaNa noted that she couldn't take another "loss," referring to male islanders choosing not to pair up with her.

Rob Rausch and JaNa Craig wanted to leave Love Island USA season 6 midway

1) Rob Rausch

When Love Island USA season 6 started, Rob and Leah shared a mutual interest in one another, but their dynamics quickly changed when Andrea Carmona entered the show as a bombshell on Day 6.

On Day 11, Andrea was eliminated from the show as the female islanders chose to save JaNa Craig over her. This led to one of the biggest arguments that involved most of the cast, as the women defended their decision and Rob and Aaron questioned why they chose to send Andrea home. At the time, Rob publicly announced that he would leave Love Island USA season 6 with his connection.

Andrea also wanted the islander to leave with her, but Rob's friends convinced him to stay. While saying goodbye, he informed her about his decision to stay.

"I wanna leave so bad, I just feel like I'm gonna think I'm such an idiot later, because it's not like our connection's gone, but at the same time, it's like, why would I stay? I can still like— see how I feel about you like while I'm still here, and then if it's just so obvious, then I'm just gonna leave," Rob told Andrea.

2) JaNa Craig

Following Casa Amor, the islanders had a choice to either pair up with a newcomer or continue their connection with their partners. Kenny, who was partnered up with JaNa before he left for Casa, brought bombshell Catherine Marshall into the villa. Meanwhile, JaNa, who only had eyes for the male islander, decided to stay single.

When JaNa saw Kenny paired up with another woman, she expressed wanting to leave the show. Ariana Madix asked Kenny at the time how it felt to see JaNa single, and he said he was surprised. The female Love Island USA season 6 islander asked him why he was surprised, and he said:

"I think the time that we had, was limited, and I really wasn't sure if I had done enough, to really convince her of trusting me and so Casa Amor kind of provided me with a space for me to, develop and approach other ladies, which I appreciated."

JaNa asked him if he thought his connection with Catherine was stronger than his connection with her. She asked Kenny not to "waste" her time. Kenny explained that although he and JaNa had a stronger connection, he believed that with time, he could get there with Catherine.

JaNa explained that she was single since she respected him. She added that even when she had to sleep next to a bombshell, she built "pillow forts" to maintain some distance.

"Yeah, I'm done. I want to go home. I'm done. You guys, I'm so f*cking serious. Yo, get my suitcase. I'm so serious, I'm so serious. Ari, I want to go home. I'm done. I'm tired of taking Ls, I'm f*cking done," JaNa said.

After the recoupling ceremony, JaNa and Kenny had a heartfelt conversation during which the Love Island USA season 6 islanders opened up about their feelings for one another. Kenny later cried to Leah and Serena about JaNa saying that she wanted to leave the show.
