Love Island USA season 6 aired episode 31 on Monday, July 15. The episode showcased the long-awaited Heart Rate Challenge, where the islanders displayed their best performances to impress their fellow co-stars.
The cast members performed wearing unique costumes to enhance the viewers' experience, with each act accompanied by background music. All the islanders flaunted their moves to raise each other's heartbeats.
Divided by gender, the Love Island USA islanders competed against each other to see which team's heartbeat fluctuated the most. By the end of the challenge, Love Island USA Aftersun host Maura Higgins had declared the men the winners. Kordell was credited with the victory since he made most women's hearts race with his steamy act.

At the same time, Kaylor left a major impact on the men by increasing the heartbeats of Kenny, Aaron, and Harrison. The heart rates of certain islanders increased for people other than their partners. Although it was a challenge, it created tension for those cast members.
Love Island USA season 6's Heart Rate Challenge made the islanders' hearts race
The men performed first, with Kenny taking the lead as he appeared as "quarterback Kenny." While performing his moves, he got close to multiple girls before having a final kiss with his Love Island USA partner, JaNa.
"I was just you know doing my little Shakira impressions out there. Hips don't lie baby," said Kenny.
Rob was dressed as a cowboy with a hat and a red bandana around his neck. He approached Serena before heading to his Love Island USA ex-partner, Leah. He ended his act with a special performance for Daniela.
"Rob was giving cowboy to the max. Like, it's everything that I think I imagine Rob to do," said Sierra.
Kordell came as a "problem solver" and started his act with his partner Serena. He elevated his performance by enacting a lisp while speaking. "Gladiator Harrison" walked in next, introducing himself as "Thor, Odin's son." With a cape around his neck, he succeeded in impressing the women with his hilarious one-liners. However, JaNa was not impressed.
"It wasn't giving," said JaNa.
Kaylor struggled to contain her excitement, watching her Love Island USA partner, Aaron, appear, dressed as an angel. He centered his steamy act mostly around Kaylor, impressing the latter. "Colonel Kendall," who was next after Aaron, approached the women with "grunting" noises; however, not everyone was impressed with them.
Miguel's entrance as a firefighter got the women cheering for him. He involved Kaylor, Serena, Daniela, JaNa, and Leah in his act, leaving all speechless.
"It's giving I need to propose to him with, like, a 24 karat ring," said Leah.
Next was the Love Island USA female cast members' turn. Kaylor started the round with her performance dressed as a cheerleader. She got intimate with Kenny, Harrison, and Aaron during her act. Serena appeared dressed as a "sassy cowgirl" and immediately wowed the male islanders with her dance moves. She performed with many, but ended her act with Kordell.
"I saved Kordell for last. I had to give him a little something extra special," said Serena.
Leah's performance as the "love doctor" made Miguel's heart race. She checked ex-partner Rob's temperature and mockingly said:
"I think he still has the hot for me."
She ended her act with a kiss with Miguel. Daniela appeared dressed as the "ringmaster," intending to "tame" her Love Island USA partner Rob, who had previously broken up with her. Kaylor became uncomfortable watching Daniela try to kiss Aaron; however, the issue was resolved since Aaron refused to get intimate with her.
Sierra kissed Harrison during her act, hoping she would raise his heartbeat. The next act of the challenge was Nicole's, whose steamy performance left her partner Kendall speechless.
"Oh my god! I was, like, Medic!" said Kendall.
JaNa's act, dressed as a "cat," was the last of the challenges. She danced before all the male islanders, including her partner, Kenny. The cast member claimed they saved "the best for last." The men were surprised to see 'bombshell' Kassy arrive during the challenge.
Kassy tried to get close to all the men, while the female islanders watched in disapproval. They were unimpressed to see their fellow male co-stars cheer Kassy's performance. Meanwhile, Miguel seemed the most excited to have Kassy around him.
"I think she's doing her big one with Miguel," said Daniela.
As the challenge concluded, Maura arrived to announce the results. Leah raised Rob's heart rate, whereas Aaron, Kordell, and Kendall's heartbeats were raised by their partners Kaylor, Serena, and Nicole, respectively. Kassy raised Miguel's heart rate was raised by Kassy, whereas Harrison's and Kenny's were raised by Kaylor's.
Miguel raised Daniela's heart rate, whereas Kaylor, JaNa, and Serena's heart rates were raised by their partners Aaron, Kenny, and Kordell, respectively. Sierra, Leah, and Nicole's rates were all raised by Kordell. After announcing who made whose heart rate race, Maura revealed that the men were victorious.
Love Island USA season 6 airs Thursday to Tuesday at 9 pm ET only on Peacock.
