What happened in Love and Marriage: Huntsville season 9 episode 11?
In the latest episode of Love and Marriage: Huntsville, Kimmi told Melody about Chris's involvement in Martell's meeting with LaTricia. According to Kimmi, Chris had introduced Martell to LaTricia, which Melody found unsettling. Melody was unaware of Chris's role in the introduction and felt that it was inappropriate for Chris to have played matchmaker.
Melody expressed concerns about Chris's influence on Martell, given his own history of infidelity. The conversation turned tense when Kimmi asked Melody about her current relationship with LaTricia. Melody made it clear that she didn't like LaTricia and felt that the latter had brought drama into her life.
"When I was married to my ex, he had a whole group of so called mentors. I guess they were kind of giving him advice, but apparently, maybe not the right advice. And at this point, I'm wondering, what kind of advice was Chris giving him?" stated Melody in a confessional.
Melody also referenced LaTricia's past interaction with Martell on Love and Marriage: Huntsville. In a flashback, Martell had asked Melody about co-parenting with people who might trigger negative emotions. She had responded by saying that the key to co-parenting was to avoid being the trigger.
Melody's conversation with Kimmi also touched on the topic of trust and red flags. Melody emphasized that she didn't have time for gray areas and that she preferred to deal with things in a straightforward manner. Moreover, she expressed her skepticism about LaTricia's denials of past wrongdoing, saying that nobody believed her.
LaTisha met up with Destiny to catch up but soon Martell walked in. He said that he wanted to have a chat with LaTisha to settle their differences and was even open to apologize. But as soon as Martell sat down, LaTisha walked away. A disappointed Destiny explained that she was hoping that Martell and LaTisha would resolve their issues.
Marsau, LaTisha, and Martell gathered to discuss their past conflicts on Love and Marriage: Huntsville. LaTisha expressed her reluctance to engage with Martell, citing his disrespect during their previous conversation. Marsau supported his wife's stance, while Martell countered that everyone involved had been disrespectful.
LaTisha denied that and suggested that Marsau and Martell have the discussion without her. Marsau asked her to stay, prompting Martell to comment in a confessional that Marsau's behavior was typical of a narcissist and controller. Martell felt that LaTisha didn't have a say in their relationship and was being forced to participate in the conversation.
Martell attempted to apologize and clarify his intentions, but Marsau redirected the conversation to past issues, including Martell's infidelity. This led Martell to believe that Marsau was trying to divert attention from his own behavior. Marsau accused Martell of holding secrets about him and Maurice, which Martell denied.
LaTisha interjected, asking why she and Melody had previously argued. Martell claimed he didn't know, but LaTisha connected the conflict to Martell sharing information about Marsau with Melody. In a confessional on Love and Marriage: Huntsville, Martell speculated that LaTisha was aware of Marsau's infidelity but chose to ignore them.
"I don't think that you [Martell] realize the gravity of your words. These things actually affect our marriage," claimed Marsau.
Martell believed that Marsau wanted to keep pushing his buttons, potentially to sabotage his own marriage. He told Marsau to "tread lightly." Marsau dismissed Martell's concerns. The exchange ended with Martell criticizing Marsau for embarrassing his wife and LaTisha walking away from the conversation. Martell followed suit, clapping as he left.
Love and Marriage: Huntsville airs on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) on Saturdays at 8 pm ET.
