Love and Marriage: Huntsville season 9 episode 5 recap: Martell and Marsau face off while Kimmi gets questioned about Maurice's DUI arrest

Love and Marriage: Huntsville season 9 continued with a new episode on November 30, following its premiere on November 2, 2024, on OWN TV, the network founded by Oprah Winfrey.

Previously, the ladies had gone on a getaway together to St. Thomas. Meanwhile, Marques had a heart-to-heart with LaTricia and Ken about their impending divorce.

In the recent episode, Martell and Marsau confronted each other while the cast went out for a group activity. Earlier, Martell vented to Destiny about a recent Marsau interview. Melody questioned Kimmi about Maurice's DUI arrest.

What happened in Love and Marriage: Huntsville season 9 episode 5?

The new episode of Love and Marriage: Huntsville kicked off with Destiny talking about her new business where she made candles and other fragrance products. She revealed that it was a welcome change after being arrested on the charges of forgery recently. Martell came to help Destiny set up shop and the topic soon changed to his alleged domestic violence charge.

"The judge didn't even hear the case. The higher courts are gonna hear it. But I know they are gonna throw it out 'cause it's fake news," revealed Martell.

Martell claimed that he was not convicted but expressed his frustration regarding the other cast members not having his back. He felt that he had built a good relationship with other male cast members of the show and felt disappointed that nobody contacted him during his time of need.

Melody and Kimmi went for a workout session and talked about their recent St. Thomas trip. Kimmi was happy that she got the opportunity to go out as she had been staying indoors for a while. Melody opened up to Kimmi about Destiny trying to pick a fight with her whenever they hung out. Kimmi agreed with Melody but felt the camaraderie between the ladies was stronger than ever.

Melody asked Kimmi about her fiance's arrest. Kimmi's fiance, Maurice was recently convicted after getting caught driving under the influence. Although Kimmi didn't speak much afterward, Melody stated in a confessional that she likes to be upfront about everything and wanted to have an honest conversation about Kimmi's well-being.

Kimmi later visited Destiny at her new shop where the latter revealed that she had invited all the cast members of Love and Marriage: Huntsville to the park to play some games and have conversations. When Kimmi told Destiny about her conversation with Melody, Destiny responded nonchalantly by claiming that she had no problems with Melody and proceeded to invite her to the game session.

While Melody didn't show up, the cast played musical chairs and tug of war to get things started. While the heat was taking its toll on the cast members, it got even hotter as Martell and Marsau got into an argument.

After the games, came the conversation part when Destiny asked Martell to express any qualms regarding any cast member. When pushed, Martell revealed that he didn't like what Marsau had to say about him in an interview. Marsau explained he had said something along the lines of losing respect for Martell due to his ongoing domestic abuse case with Melody.

Martell claimed it was a wrong statement to make in an interview. Marsau countered by saying that Martell had been making false statements regarding him all this time.

"All I'm saying is you got a lot to say in your interviews. Every time he opens his mouth, it's something about Marsau. He's been talking sh*t," stated Marsau.
